Kendra's point of view;

I stood dumbfounded.

"Aren't you gonna sit down honey?" Mr Bieber asks pointing towards the chair.

"What? I mean yeah sure." I say sitting down slowly.

"Okay, are you ready to proceed with the interview or should I give you a minute?" He asks staring at me intently.

"No, no please proceed." I say regaining my equilibrium.

"Right, so full name?" He asks clicking his pen.

"Kendra Rose Garner." I smile.

"Why do you have an interest in working here Kendra?" He raises an eyebrow.

"Well, I really want a job that challenges me and I am very interested in your law firm sir." I say.

"Interesting. Have you got any experience?" He questions.

"Yes sir, I've worked in Olswang a law firm close by." I say.

"Yes I've heard of it. Why do you not work there anymore?"

"Well sir, the manager there made me feel slightly uncomfortable if I'm being honest." He stops writing and looks at me.

"You do realise that you're not always going to be comfortable Kendra?" He asks me staring right at me.

I wondered what he meant by that.

"Yes sir, I realise that, but I have morals and that manager did not respect that." I say shifting in my seat.

"Fair enough." He shrugs.

"Last question, marital state?" He asks refusing to look at me.

"I fail to see the correlation sir." I chuckle slightly.

"A simple question. Simple answer. Marital state?" He asks again.

"Married sir." I say.

"Oh right." He says seeming slightly disappointed.

"Any children?" He asks. I really did not get why this mattered.

"Yes. Two little ones." I smile.

"Alright, well, that's all. Thank you."

"No thank you Mr Bieber. When will I hear from you?" I ask standing up.

"Right now. Congratulations, you've got the job." He smiles for a short period of time and puts out his hand. I shake it and grin.

"Thank you sir. Thank you so much." I say cheerily.

"Can you start Monday?" He asks me.

"Yes of course." I smile walking towards the door.

"See you Monday." He smiles.
