'Maki get up! Wake up! It's only a dream!'
I opened my eyes crying. The nightmare came back again this time worse. This time I couldn't wake up after I got stabbed. I could only collapse in pain as I watched the blood gather into a pool one the ground. Dem was the only reason that I could wake up.
'Dem....'
'Yes?'
'Why are you in my head?'
'Oh...'
'Tell me please...'
'Fine, I was sent to protect you...'
'Why? '
'You're special... The gods wanted me to protect you...'
'What do you me by gods? There real?'
'Yes, Maki... The gods are real... And those things that attack you aren't demons... there Furies... They kill Demi-gods... '
'Wait... I am....'
'A Demi-god...yes... '
'But....' Then I get a sharp pain in my skull.
'Maki! Are you ok?! '
'I-I don't k-know....' Another stab of pain in my skull.
'Dem.... what's.... going on?......'
'I...I don't know! Call Blue! '
"B-Blue" I said weakly from my bed were I still lay.
Blue's ears pricked up and she jumped onto my bed. She imeadtly laid down on my chest and licked my face.
'Just say calm... okay don't panic it will only make it worse...'
'What's going on......' I was staring to black out now. 'Dem......'
'Don't worry I am doing the best I can... '
I felt a soft hand brush my cheek. I looked to see Dem... In human a form... With a glowing orb in his hand...
' Dem..... I.... Will..... Fight.....'
With one final stab of pain in my head I pass out again, Blue on my chest licking my face, and Dem by my side trying to figure out what's causing the pain.
But for some reason I think he knew exactly what it was, but just didn't want to scare me...
And little did I know. I was right.
