I sit at a dinning table with my family, with some people that my father knows. My father is Reginald Birch, a Templar. Not only that he is a Templar, he is the Grandmaster of the order. The people around me are Templar's, besides my mother and myself.

The uncomfortable quiet dinner that everyone had to suffer through. Me and Mother would often have short conversations here and there. But those short little talks only do so much to help with the uncomfortable silence.

The only thing that is making this night bearable is Haytham. My father trained him to become a Templar, after he lost his father was killed by bandits, and his sister was kidnapped by them.

Haytham isn't bad to look at. But with his brown hair tied in a red ribbon, grey eyes, chiseled features and he is 22 years old. Sure I do have a little crush on him. But I know it will never happen, I'm the Grandmaster's daughter, everyone was intimidated by him.

Father treats me like I am some kind of fine China that breaks easy if you drop it. Well I'm not, I am 18 years old and I can take care of myself. I know enough fighting skills to defend myself.

"(Y/N), (Y/N)!" I yank myself out of my thoughts, by hearing my father trying to get my attention.

"Yes Father?" I ask him. He clocks his eyebrow.

"I asked you a question," he tells me.

"And what was it?" I ask him. Father rolls his eyes.

"I asked you if reconsider......," Father starts to say.

"No!" I interrupt him, "I'm not ending up like William,"

"Your brother was a fine Templar, I don't see why you don't want to be one," Father says frustrated.

"Well William went insane, trying to find Pieces of Eden," I remind him, "and he eventually killed himself," Father stayed silent.

"Please, don't fight you two," Mother pleads to us, "we have guests," I make a fake smile.

"Well before I make anymore trouble, I'll just excuse myself," I simply say. I get out of my chair and I walk to my room. I hear Mother apologizing to our guests.

I walk to the garden, the cool air hits my face. The calm wind blows my (H/L) (H/C) slightly. I walk to the rose bushes, and I go to the (F/C) roses. I run my fingers on the delicate pedals.

"I see you like roses," I hear a voice behind me. I turn around and I see Haytham. I weakly smile at him.

"Hello Haytham," I say politely. He smiles at me, with his hands behind his back. I look away from him."Shouldn't you be discussing business with Father?" I ask him. Haytham shrugs his shoulders.

"I could discuss business with him, but there isn't anything to discuss," Haytham says. I look at him.

"I thought you were here to........" I start to say.

"No, not with me anyway," Haytham says, "as for everyone else, there here for business, your father just invited me,"

"For as long as I could remember, you and my father have been good friends," I say.

"Well he is my mentor," Haytham says. I nod. I look up at the full moon and the stars.

"The moon is beautiful tonight," I state. Haytham looks at the moon, then back at me.

"Sure the moon is beautiful, but it doesn't compare to you," Haytham says. I blush bright red.

"Surly you don't mean that Mr. Kenway," I say. He comes closer to me, and he cups my cheeks. He leans in and he kisses me lightly on the lips. I return the kiss. Haytham looks at me and caresses my cheek.

"Yes, I mean it Miss Birch,"
