Blood
Red as a liquid
Flows as water in a canal
Fangs stuck into veins
Warm as spring
Taste as if dinner
Blood
Pain starts
But goes away
Makes you want more
I control
As many would
But sometimes they go rogue
Blood
Could feel the warmth
When I touch your skin
Or you are near
I take your warmth
To rise
To drink
And to hunt at night
Blood
I travel at night
Rest in daylight
Keep within the shadows
Stay out of light
Riding and laughing
Blood
I fly
To my territory
Laughter
Could see what's going on in the distance
Miles away
Blood
We burn in daylight
So we hide in darkness
We are amongst you
Don't know what we look like
Could be anyone
Hide our identities
Blood
