When I write,
I am not me.
I am the sky,
And I am the sea.

I am the people,
And I am the land.
I am the evil
Close at hand.

I am the strong,
And I am the weak.
I am the hero,
And I am the meek.

I am the mist,
And I am the rain.
I am the sun
In the lion's mane.

I am the royal,
The merchant, the peasant,
I'm the source, and thief,
Of all that's pleasant.

I am the spring,
And I am the fall.
I am the year;
I hold it all.

I am life,
And I am death.
I'm first cry,
And final breath.

I'm what's real,
And I'm what's fake.
I'm all that's perfect,
And every mistake.

I am the insect,
The reptile, the bird,
And I am the animals-
I've become the words.

Yes, I am the people,
The land, and the sea,
Until I stop,
And, again, become me.
