He approaches me slowly.
"I know you're awake." He laughs, "I heard you run back to the couch." He grabs my shoulder and shakes me a little. When I don't get up he rolls me over to the ground. My head, which was already aching before, hits the ground.
"Ow!" I yelled. The man they call Joseph turned around and looked at me sideways.
"Oh, come on, it didn't hurt that bad." He snickers.
"How did I get here?" I ask, not making eye contact. He looks at me for a minute.
"Don't worry about it."
"I bet my dad is looking for me right now. You aren't going to get away with this."
"I highly doubt that, seeming as they haven't even realized you're gone." My face goes pale, they don't know I'm gone? I told my dad I'd be out for the night. Did he listen? I respond with the most childish remark.
"How do you know." His bright blue eyes pierce through my skin. His gauges look painful. I think about how much I'd like to put a combination lock around it and get rid of the key. I let out a laugh.
"What's so funny?" He stairs at me with a serious face. I can't help but look into his eyes.
"Oh, 'don't worry about it'." My mocking response made him angry. I put my head down, I expected him to hit me or do something. He just staired at me blankly for a minute and left the room.
He walked back into the room. The floor squeaked under his black combat boots. The chains attached to his pants jingled with every step. I wince everytime he takes a step closer. I was still on the floor, so he gets on his knees. He holds out a bag.
"Give me all of your valuables. Piercings, phone, shoes, necklace, earrings, anything worth more than five dollars." I take off my shoes first. Those were my first pair of Converse. I take out my earrings and my other piercings. I take off wristbands and bracelets. He even makes me take off my black leather jacket. I didn't even think to bring my phone, ugh why am I so stupid.
"That's all I have." Tears pooled in my eyes. I look away, so he doesn't spot me at my weakest.
"What about your clothes? I'm sure those were worth a lot more than five dollars. Am I right?" I look down at my clothes. I mean, it's not my fault Hot Topic is so expensive
"These shouldn't count; I have nothing else to wear." He looks at me and leaves to room, yet again. He comes back five minutes later and tosses me jeans and a white t-shirt.
"Clothes, now." He turns around so I can undress and dress again. Well already he has some sense of decency. Even if he did kidnap me...if that makes any since.
