A Mother's Love

Mary, young maiden from Nazareth.
Pure, young , beautiful and naive.
Did you expect a life full of challenges?
Where you were left in disbelieve.

Angel Gabriel paid you a visit
to bring good tiding of a Baby.
With Child by the Spirit,
Which you accepted bravely.

Elizabeth your safe haven.
Baby Jesus leaping for joy,
A meeting of exaltation
For the coming of a wonderous Boy.

The calling for a cencus
On the back of a donkey
A journey that left you breathless
Endeavoring a rugged road, sauvely.

Your only shelter, a warm stable.
Wrapped in a cloth, peacefully at sleep,
Infant Jesus, sofly breathing, lovingly graceful.
Looking down on our King, cows, camels and sheep.

Sherpherds heard of the good tiding,
Wisemen guided by a bright, shining star.
Mother and father boasts, exciting
Receiving gifts fit for a king, gold, myrrh and frankincense in a jar.

Thirty three years later,
Mary, your soul was pierced.
In anguish He chose the path of danger
His clothes were torn and ripped.

At the cross, His last moments,
He thought of you.
Love, honour, pride, joy, all true emotions.
To all, especially you, He would stay true.

He had been your Baby, a Boy you nurtured.
A young man you were proud of.
Your mother's heart bleeding, for a Son tortured.
A Man proclaiming peace, all out of love.

Falling to your knees, pleading, crying, pain unimaginable.
He was crucified, but rose again, conqering the grave.
Our saviour did it out of obedience, for you, me, the whole world.
Never, ever forgetting His mother's love.
