Impossible Love

Prologue

Hey guys! I hope you enjoy this book! I got a little bored writing the other ones and just decided to start fresh with a new book that is not a fanfic for once. It's a new thing for me to write about so I hope you all enjoy it as much as I enjoy writing it! I hope you find it refreshing and really like it. -Jessica's POV

I groaned as my bed was dipping in, meaning I had to wake up.

"Jess, honey you need to wake up now and get ready for school."

I groaned again, as I reluctantly sat up and smiled at my mother.

"Good morning sunshine."

She said sarcastically.

"Go take a shower, brush your medusa hair, brush your teeth, and get dressed. We are making pancakes for breakfast!"

"OOOHHH. PANCAKES!"

I quickly jumped out of bed and ran to the bathroom, starting the shower. I went back to my room and grabbed a pair of jeans and a t-shirt as I watched my mom go down the hallway to continue cooking breakfast.

I walked back into my bathroom, got undressed, and washed my hair. Once I got out of the shower, I got dressed and brushed my hair and teeth. I walked downstairs and my mom set down a plate with 2 chocolate chip pancakes and 3 pieces of bacon.

"Mooooomm, you know I hate bacon."

"Darn, I was hoping you wouldn't notice!"

She laughed as she gave the bacon to my older brother. My brothers name is Brendon and he is 14 years old until October. Which is in 1 month. I am 10 at the moment, and will be 11 in December. My dad died 2 years ago, we visit him every Saturday and we put his favorite flowers on his grave, plumerias and magnolias.

"I'm gonna walk Jess to school today, is that okay mom?"

"Yeah honey just be careful."

My mom said to Brendon while she handed me my lunch box.

"Always am."

He said as he grabbed my hand and started walking towards the school.

First day of school in this city.

"Are you nervous?"

I asked Brendon.

"Only a little."

He half smiled at me.

"Now,"

He said kneeling down beside me and grabbing my shoulders,

"some people are going to be really mean. You have to avoid them. If they start to be mean to you, you just walk away. Ignore the mean and rude people. And make some friends. Okay?"

"Okay!"

I said hugging him tightly.

"I love you."

"I love you too."

He said as he watched me walk into my new school.

I walked out of the school and saw my brother standing there.

"Hey Bren!"

"Hey Jess! How was school today?"

He said as we started walking home.

"It was good! I learned quite a bit. How was school for you?"

"It was pretty good."

We both fell silent and the rest of the walk home was filled with silence. Once we got home moms car wasn't in the driveway. We walked inside and heard the phone ringing, so we were getting a little worried. Brendon went and answered the phone.

"Hello? Yeah. Oh my god is she okay? Okay, we'll be there shortly."

He hung up the phone and grabbed my hand, walking fiercely out the door and towards a large building that was probably about 2 miles away.

"Bren? Where are we going?"

I asked getting scared.

"Hospital."

He said quickly, without saying another word we both started walking faster.

About 20 minutes later we arrived at the hospital and ran up to our moms room.

"Mom!?"

Brendon said as he ran into the room.

"Sorry but you can't be in here while she is unconscious unless you are a family member."

"We are her children!"

Brendon practically yelled at the doctor while he sat down next to her bed.

Nearly 3 hours later, our mom stirred and started to wake up.

"Where..w-where are my kids? Wh-where are they a-at?"

She said stuttering.

"We're right here mom!"

Brendon said as he grabbed her hand.

"Kids, I-I love you guys, so so much.."

She said as she started going unconscious again.

"Mom? MOM!?"

Brendon started screaming.

"I'm sorry but you need to leave now, a nurse said as 3 more and the doctor started running into the room to go check on our mother. There was a loud and constant beep coming from the machine.

"MOM!"

Brendon started screaming out. I felt the tears stinging in my eyes.
