Okay, what the hell am I going to do? He is here. My high school enemy is here. The one I hate from my pre-teens works for my favourite director. "Shreya, cool down, chillax," I said to myself. Its good that he didn't recognize me. How can he even? No way.
I'm way different now. He was a jerk. Popular jerk. Well, I was popular too, in my ways. Like, I was into school theater and few other activites. So, I was popular. But that jerk was popular for different reasons. He was popular for his looks, juniors had crush on him. I had too, but I was his class mate. I started hating him. My teachers lost trust on me because of him. I would never forgive him for whatever he did to me.
From the corner of my eyes I observed that he was still staring at me.
Jerk. Asshole. Douche bag!
Why doesn't he just give up?! Argh!
Sir walked into his cabin. I got back to my seat and straightened myself.
"Shreya right?" He asked, shutting his eyes and settling on his chair. I nodded.
"Sorry, I couldn't pay much attention to your answer," He said apologizing me rubbing his face with his hands and looked up at me and asked, “So what were you telling?” With a smile, I nodded and answered.
"Well, sir, I'm 18. I'm a photographer. I just finished my junior college. Now, I've applied for universities abroad. I'm into decorating places. I can do it pretty well, you just need to give proper budget , and I'll show what can I do. I came to this interview not just because its a job, but also this is like my interest." I said confidently with a smile. He seemed satisfied.
"Well, Shreya I like what you said. You seem confident about your passion and career. I like it." He said with a convinced smile. "
Thank you, sir." I said with a sweet smile.
"You'll have to wait outside for a while. I'll choose and let you guys know." He said. I nodded and walked out of the glass cabin. Jai, the douche bag is still looking at me with curious eyes. Why can't he just give up!
I walked towards Shanaya. She was sitting on the couch and waiting for me. I tapped her shoulder.
"So, how was interview?" She asked, with beaming face.
"It went pretty well. Director seemed convinced. He told me I seemed confident." I grinned at her and sat down beside her on the couch. "Fingers crossed." I said crossing my fingers.
"You'll get through it. Don't worry." She grinned at me. She seemed to notice that I had my nerdy glasses on.
"Why the fuck are your wearing your hipster glasses...now?" She questioned. She knew that I wear these glasses when I don't want someone to recognize me or when I wanna be a weirdo. Today, that someone was none other than The High School Jerk, Jai.
