Chapter 6 : Unexpected guest

Principal White's house is big. Well, I was expecting it because he is one of the richest man here. He and his famliy lived here for generations. Like Breakville, his house is also old and vintage. It have a lot of antique furnitures and artifacts. The stairs are made of wood. It have 3 floors, but the party is being held outside. The foods are inside.

Malawak ang labas niya, you can fit atleast three ten wheeler trucks here. Hindi rin naman ganun karami ang tao sa town namin, siguro nasa 200 people lang kami. Dito kasi sa breakville, the people here are willing to stay but most of them want to leave. Yung mga higher year sa amin, they're in a very far away schools now for college. Some of them comes back, but if I were them, I will never come back.

Right after my mom died, I tried to run away but I couldn't. Umaalis ako ng bahay ng gabi and I will stay outside the town, just pass the sign saying 'Welcome To Breakville, Home of the most vintage artifacts.' Pinapanuod ko ang mga kotseng dumadaan sa high-way. I keep on waiting for someone to get in our town, but I got nothing. I just accept the fact that nobody really know that we exist.

I've been eating since we got here. Humiwalay agad si Isa at nakipag usap sa mga matatanda doon sa tabi. Si Papa naman ay masyadong busy, so busy that he passed by me and he didn't notice me. My friends are drinking again, they're enjoying this party because their parents are here, they have privilege to everything.

Before We came here, Isa dropped by the library and get something. Its a gift for Principal White. Its a simple box, I think its a book or maybe its a lighter for his tobacco. I really don't know what that is, as long as we have a gift its fine.

I'm enjoying the cheesy barbecue and the salad bar. I've been munching on the celeries and carrots. I hate myself because I can't find Julia. I saw her uncle earlier but she's not beside him. Some of the students in our school are also here, I heard one of them saw her. But I can't see her. I let a groan.

"Are you angry on someone?" a female ask fron behind that made me startle. Umikot ako at nakita si Julia. Her eyes are sparkling tonight, she's very beautiful. I brush my hair and she smile at me. "Sinu kaaway mo?" she ask amd grab a carrot. She dip it in the white cheese.

"Nah, anu kasi……" anu nga ba sasabihin ko, siya ang dahilan kung bakit naman ako na aasar tapos bigla siyang dumating. "Kasi na alala ko na naiwan ko yung wallet ko." I lied to her. She replied "oh".

We walk around together. Im happy that she's like this after what I told her earlier. She's not like other girls that flirts around when they found out that a guy like them. For her, its just a simple compliment. Habang nag lalakad kami, napapansin ko na nakatingin sa amin ang lahat.

"Ignore them. They're just wondering why you're with me." Julia said as we stop at the end and lean at a wall. Panu niya nalaman yun, hindi ko nga naririnig ang mga binubulong nila. "Some of them are even saying that you must be feel sorry for me that's why you're here with me. " she add up.
