Chapter 1 ¤The past Haunts

¤Flash Back¤

"Mummy? Daddy? Jai?" The ten year old me asked into the empty house. I walked around, I hoped to find them.

"Arielle?" That's Jai! I ran up the stairs, towards the voice. I opened his bedroom door to reveal Jai on his knees, he towered over our parents bodies. I cocked my head to the side, and walked towards him.

"Elle, you have to promise me something, ok?" I nodded my head as Jai wrapped his arms around me. "You do as I say, alright?" I nodded once again and pulled away from him. I looked down at my parents when I realized something, mum and dad are dead.

"Jai, who killed them?" I asked, tears streamed down my cheeks and his.

"Bad people, bad people sweetie." I shook my head and grabbed my mums hand in mine. " I love you mummy. I love you daddy." I stood up with Jai and he took his phone out and called someone. I looked around the only home I've ever known, goodbye, goodbye mummy, daddy and goodbye home.

¤Seven Years Later¤

"Put more strength into the punches!" My coach, Jai shouted. I did as he said and punched the punching bag as hard as I could.

"Good job! Ten minute break." I walked towards the edge of the rink and climed over the ropes. I jumped down next to Jai.

"Hey big bro." He smiled at me and gave me a side hug. "Hey little Elle." I rolled my eyes and noticed his phone going off as he turned around. I picked it up and unlocked it to see;

Hey Jai! Are you still up to becoming a professional boxing trainer in the usa?

My eyes widdened and I stalked towards Jai.

"Here's your phone." I slammed it down on the table in front of him and began packing my boxing bag. I took my boxing gloves off and stalked out the door, into the freezing cold.

"Elle! Wait!" I whipped around and glared at the boy.

"What the fuck do you want?!"

"I want to explain!" He shouted back.

I rolled my eyes, "Two minutes."

"They want me to go to the USA to train some boxing star. I said I would think about it." I raised an eyebrow and started to walk home.

"Elle, I would never leave you." I turned around that time an looked at him in the eyes. I sighed and walked closer to him. "How do you know that? I might leave you, you never know." He looked down at his shoes and said, "I already accepted."

"You what?! Why didn't you tell me? Don't I deserve to know?" He nodded his head and I turned around and stalked towards the house.

I wish Jai had asked me first. I mean, it's his decision but I wish he had told me at least.

I opened the front door and step inside, getting relieve from the freezing weather. I dropped my boxing bag and walked to the kitchen, and grabbed a bottle of water and a granola bar. I ran down stairs to my room and shut the door. I didn't want to see him right now.

I ate the food and drank the water before I changed into a pair of black soffee shorts and and one of Jais' old sweatshirts. I briskly walked to my bed and plopped down on my comfy bed. This is what usually happens why Jai and I get into a fight.

Why can't Jai and I go at least one day without fighting? I mean, I love him and all but I can't stand him sometimes.

I rolled over on my stomach and grabed my laptop off the black bed side table. I typed in my password and logged onto twitter. Last time I logged on was about two weeks ago and I had almost a million followers. Now I have 1.3M. I did a mental happy dance and tweeted a thank you to my followers before I logged off.

A knock sounded on my door, I looked up and sighed, I already know who it is.

"Arielle?" I stood up and opened the door for Jai.

"What?" I spat. He sighed and scratched the back of his neck.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you. But I wanted to wait. And uh-" He got cut off by footsteps on the basement stairs. I looked up to see Ariana Grande. She walked up to my brother and placed a kiss on his cheek.

She smiled sweetly at me, "Is this Arielle?" Jai nodded and wrapped a arm around her waist.

"Is this the other reason your going to America? For your girlfriend?" I rolled my eyes, stood up and pushed past them. I needed to get out.

"Arielle, please wait!" Jai shouted. I just ignored him and slipped on my flip flops.

A softer voice entered the conversation,  "Jai, did you tell her that you weren't leaving for boxing?" I whirled around and stormed to them.

"What do you mean?!" I yelled. Ariana's eyes widdened and she stared at Jai.

"You didn't tell her?! You said you did! How-How could you do that? Did you even ask her to come with?" I looked between the two of them, "Is that your way of getting rid of me? Did you ever love me?" The tears started to fall and I wipped them away before I ran out the door, and to my only place of escape, the boxing studio.
