Two Names, One Person. ~Penn x Reader~

As the years of chatting went by, our friendship grew stronger, just because of simple messages and video chats. Even if those are only simple, it meant a lot for the both of us.

Sometimes we talk about when we're going to meet in person. I've always wanted to see what she really looked like when she's standing infront of me, smiling, looking adorable-

Wait wait. Hold on.

Did I just say adorable?!

No, no. It must be wrong. She's just my best friend from online, nothing more.

At least I think it's nothing more.

Okay, maybe a little bit.

It's just that- how she acted made me take interest in her even more, despite the fact we're separated by a screen, and our distances are far. She's that girl who you describe as "socially awkward", but in reality, she's a random, funny and out-going person. She never fears to share her recent thoughts whenever she wanted to.

Slowly I felt as if I'm falling for someone I only met through a screen. It hurts to admit, but it's the truth.

It's been like, three years already. Boone, Sashi and I already graduated, and so did (O/n) and her friends. And still, we haven't made a plan to finally meet in person. Both of us wanted it so badly, and our friends knew that. They also did ways to help us with the situation, but it will always end up being a failure.

Until I reached my twenty-first birthday.

I think it's just an ordinary day, just like the other times I have nothing to do. I haven't found any jobs yet, but I'm intending to find one, though. I got out of bed, a nice bath was taken, I got in some of my usual sweaters and pants, then went down the stairs of our house. My aunt and uncle were still here, since Mom and Dad hasn't come back yet from the other dimensions. Apparently they're full-time heroes now.

Then I felt something unusual. There's no Boone or Sashi in the living room. Usually either of them would visit in the mornings, and since they have no jobs yet and are mentally bored like me, they'd just hang out or wait for me to go somewhere nice.

I walked outside my house, and not expecting to see some visitors I yelped, almost tumbling back inside the house. Boone and Sashi were there, holding wide grins with several familiar people. And on the middle, there she stood, looking beautiful as always, dressed in her favorite attire that matched her country. She wore this smile of hers, and then ran towards me, immediately hugging my taller frame with her arms.

"Penn!" She gasped. Wow, her voice is better than in the video calls. "Happy Birthday!" She greeted, pulling away.

"(O-O/n)?" I was speechless. Here she is, standing infront. My dreams came true, finally. "Y-Your here!" I smiled widely.

She seemed to frown once I called her by her profile name. But she shrugged it off anyways, her smile returning. She handed me a box, leaned a little, and whispered, "Don't open it yet. Okay?"

I found out she and a couple of friends will be staying for awhile. (O/n) said she wanted to take a vacation, and since her parents had money, she asked her close friends to come. I've met them, like I said, so it wasn't awkward.

Her stay here was magnificent. Splendid! I enjoyed every moment I spent time with her. It was a little sad her friends had to leave early since they had work of their own unlike us, but it's nice too since we get to be alone.
