Prologue

Kinley's POV *8 Years Ago*

Today started off like any other day. I wake up to go to high school , get pushed around by the seniors a little bit and leave.

As I was leaving the school I felt my phone vibrating in my backpack. I fumbled around with it dropping all of my things in the process causing people to look over in my direction and laugh. I blush as I grab my phone from the ground.

"Hello?" I say quietly to my mom who is the one who called me. " Hey sweetie I'm just leaving work now so I am going to be a little late to pick you and your brothers up. Could you go to their school and wait with them until I get there?" She said in a pleading voice. Why do I have to pick them up they are 13 they don't need their big sister to wait for them. "Alright." I say sighing. "Alright Hun I owe you one." She said in a thankful voice. I hang up and put my phone in the back pocket of my jeans.

I stuff everything that spilled out back into my backpack hurriedly due to the people still staring at me. God why do I have to be such a klutz.

I get up and run in the street without looking to get to my brothers' school. HHOONNKK that and the loud screeching of tires are the last thing I hear before all I can see is the sky with nothing but darkness soon to follow.

I open my eyes to see an empty hospital room. I scan my surroundings seeing that it's dark out. I press the nurse assistance button only to see a hand I don't recognize. I hold both of my hands out before me to look at my pale long slender fingers with arms just like them.

I press the button again and wait a few minutes for a nurse to come but nobody does. I start to panic and try to stand up only to fall down immediately my way longer hair falling in front of my face. How long had I been asleep? Why is nobody here. I rip the IV out of my arm causing me to wince.

Okay first I need to find somebody and get out of this stupid hospital. I try to stand again while pulling myself up with the IV hanger. I use it to assist myself to the door stopping when I see myself in a mirror. Why do I look so much different? I touch my face seeing how skinny it is. Why am I so skinny?

I look at my now waist length  pin straight dark brown hair which used to be just beneath my shoulders.

My light blue eyes that used to be my favorite part about myself were now dull.

Even my body was completely different. I am way skinnier but I have more of a womanly figure. Am I still a 15 year old girl? There is just no way I could change this much. How long was I asleep?

On that thought I hurriedly reach for the door and open it stepping out of my room and seeing nothing and nobody. I keep walking through the halls until I see what looks like the staff break room. I open the door and walk in seeing nobody. I need to find some actual clothes so I can leave this hospital.

I start opening lockers and find a bag with a tight red tank top, black mid-calf length leggings and a pair of tennis shoes.

I put the clothes on and walk out of the room leaving the IV carrier behind.

I keep going until I find an elevator and press the down button and nothing happens.

I head towards the stairs gripping to the railing for dear life as I descend. I have to find somebody and find out what's going on. I can't be all alone here can I?
