I open my eyes. I don't wake up because of an alarm, a worried parent, or because I want to. I wake up simply because it's natural for me to wake up around 6:30,  almost like an internal clock. After lying down for a few minutes I finally check the clock. To find that it's 6:45.

If I don't get up now, I'm gonna be late for school.

My names Amor Johnson I'm a nobody. Hi Amor. Do I sound like I belong in some shitty support group or what? Anyways. My life consist entirely of myself, food, books, television, and... did I mention food?

I'm getting side tracked, best start getting ready for school. I sit up and throw my legs over the side of the bed. When my feet begin to touch the cold wooden floors I immediately flinch away. I try again and force myself to climb out of bed, rather than fall back asleep and skip school entirely. Sadly I can't do that, because I want to get the hell out of this damned town, which is only possible if I get a scholarship to Anywhere Else. Literally anywhere else.

I tread slowly to my bed room door, I make my way to the bathroom to handle my morning business. I doubt that you want all the juicy details, but In case you're curious, I took a shit, washed my hands, and brushed my teeth. That's all. I don't really have time to do much else.

You realize that you're addressing yourself as another person, with the whole "you" thing, right? You have to sound stupid.

Well it's not like I'm talking to myself out loud atleast, and even if I did who would hear?

I have no friends, my parents are always away on business, no siblings, and no love life. I might as  well be non- existent. But I'm not complaining. What would the point in that be?

I lazily look at the clock in the counter while drying my hands, 7:00? Shit! I'm gonna be late. It won't take me long to get ready, but it's a thirty minute walk, I hate the school bus, and am still saving up for a car. Plus I need to be there early so I can talk to my math teacher about my last test. I rush to my walk in closet and pick up a TIGER Pride sweatshirt off the floor; I pull it right side out and throw it on over the bra that I fell asleep in last night. A black pair of pants is swiped off top of the clothes pile and I sloppily slip into each pant leg. I make my way out of the room, stumbling down the stairs with rapid feet, into the kitchen. I grab an Apple off the dark wood counter and run out the door.

My naked feet touch the wet concrete.
Perfect, I forgot my shoes and it's bloody raining.

Luckily my pink Converse are just inside the door way. However I still have to find socks quickly. I know they'll get wet on the way to school, but I can't bring myself to care.

I lock my dead bolt and begin my journey to hell. My face lifts to the light gray sky and I love the mist on my face. No time for pleasantries, Amor, gotta get going...
