Prologue: Lost and Lonely Spirit

Start from the beginning

"So is our entire profession opening those tombs to study those remains,"

"Touché," We laughed before placing the remains we had been studying back into their respected containers.

I guess I haven't introduced myself. My name is Dr. (Y/N) (L/N). I have (H/C) locks usually in (H/S); I have (E/C) eyes; and I am currently 21 and the curator for Domino City's History Museum. It is here I work with my team of experts: Angela, the twins Mason and Jason, and Silvia, studying the artifacts and remains of ancient Egypt. My main reason for my occupation is to preserve the remnants of Egypt's pasts as well as shed light on the mysteries of the ancient world, while the others are in this occupation for the sole reason of wanting to stick with me. You see, growing up, I was an only child to the widower of a highly successful scientist named Darien (L/N). For most of my childhood, I was alone since dad was always away with his experiments. That is until I met the gang. They were a group of orphans led by Silvia who had resorted to stealing in order to survive. My grandfather, who had been the curator of this establishment before me, convinced my father to take them in and after a short time, we became inseparable, even in our career paths. After graduating from college with honors, my grandfather retired and passed the position of Curator down to me where you now find me today. I felt a sudden wetness as I was pulled from these memories. I then turned to Angela, who had sprayed me with my own water bottle.

"Hey! No time for daydreaming! We've gotta work!" She reprimanded. She often did this as I often times wandered off to my own world, though usually it was for work purposes such as finding the names of long forgotten Pharaohs and such.

"Alright! Alright! I'm going!" I shouted, lifting my hands in defeat as she laughed triumphantly.

I returned to my work station, carefully examining ancient pottery, when my phone began to ring. Of course, I picked it up.

"Domino City History Museum, Curator (L/N) speaking," I heard a familiar, gruff voice on the other side.

"It's me (N/N)," I smiled. It was my other friend Jason, whom I had sent along with his brother and Silvia to represent Domino City at the new dig in the Valley of the Kings. Apparently, an entire elaborate tomb had been uncovered by a nasty sandstorm 2 weeks earlier and was perhaps one of most extravagant on record.

"Hey Jason! You guys off the plane already? What goodies did you bring me back from Cairo to examine?!" I asked like an excited child on Christmas morning. I could almost feel his smirk from the other side.

"You are going to love us this time (Y/N)," I could feel my excitement growing.

"Ooh! Did you guys get your hands on some mummified animals or ancient pottery?" He laughed.

"That, and the Pharaoh of the tomb. You may be amazed now!" I almost screamed.

"I love you people! How did you guys managed that!?"

"It was easy. The minute the natives found out we were working for you, they demanded we take the remains back here for you to study and identify the pharaoh here. Good thing they basically worship you in Cairo!" I blushed.

"They do not worship me!"

"Yeah they do! Your an idol here. I guess all that building friendship with the people really paid off," I grew a smug look on my face.

"Of course! I told you, these people needed to be treated with respect! We are excavating their ancient leaders whom they worshiped!"

"Anyways, we'll be at the museum in an hour, so be ready for us and have Angie ready for a facial reconstruction!"

"Will do!" I hung up and peaked back into Angela's room. She stared at the huge grin on my face.

"Wow, they must've brought something really good this time," I smiled even more if that was possible and simply said.
