Wake up next to you - Lotte Mullan 🎧

I've never cried over a book or a movie before because I find it pointless. I mean, it wouldn't change anything.

But the book I just read is tragic, and I can't imagine it happening to me.

Maybe the guy reading it yesterday couldn't imagine that happening to him as well; that's why he cried.

"Let's call it a day. See you next week" my professor said as he went outside our classroom.

I dragged my bag along and ran as fast as I could.

"Hey Mingyu, where are you going?" my friend asked.

"Seungcheol hyung, I'm just going to the library" I answered.

"Library? Since when did you start going to the library? Let's go to the field. I want to play soccer" he said.

"Since yesterday, I'm not in the mood to play hyung. Try to ask Jeonghan hyung if he wants to play too" I said as I waved and immediately ran before he could say a word.

The moment I entered the library, my eyes searched for him, and it didn't disappoint me because I saw him sitting on the same table where he sat yesterday, reading again but with a completely new book.

The crying guy I encountered yesterday is different from the guy I am seeing right now.

Because today he is smiling.

I don't know, but somehow I feel like smiling too

I don't know, but somehow I feel like smiling too. It's like his smile is a virus, and I'm being infected by it.

I'm glad to see him like this. Like the book he is reading right now, it is the best book he has read in his entire life.

I stared at him for hours, and I didn't notice that I fell asleep.

When I woke up, he was not there anymore. Too bad I didn't see his reaction until he finished the book.

Is he still smiling when he finishes it? Or did he cry again because he didn't like the ending?

I guess I'll never know, but at least I saw him smile.

I took the book and asked the librarian if I could borrow it, and I'm glad she said yes.

I almost asked her the name of the guy with round eyeglasses who's on the other side of my table, but I couldn't.

Well, who knows? Maybe tomorrow I'll have the courage to ask the guy himself.
