The Memory

Flashback -2993 (When Regan was first put into the asylum)

Regan POV

I was sitting on the couch playing with my toys like a 4 year old does while my parents were out and then I heard a knock at the door and I didn't answer it because my parents told me never to answer the door. So I didn't and then I heard a big crash and men wearing all black military outfits came rushing in and picked me up and ran to this military van. Now I was four remind you so I didn't know what to do so I asked the one that was holding me "Why did you take me?" and he said "Because we had orders to from the governor Christine". I said "Auntie Christine?" .As I was about to ask another question about my parents the van pulled up to this big building which has the word A-S-Y-L-Y-M on it. So the men took me inside and threw me in a cell and I was screaming and crying for my parents and asking questions as to why I was here they left and then I was silent.

Present day

Regan POV

I am now 18 years old yes I have been here for 14 years and counting. I don't even know if my parents are alive but all I know is that I have to escape and I have to find Governor Christine who is also my auntie now you would think being the governors niece would be cool right well your wrong especially when she locks you in an asylum and you might be thinking she doesn't know that you were grabbed but she did and she has come to visit me and also to tell me that my parents are missing me terribly and my parents don't know I am here. They drive past this building all the time but had no Idea what it was like on the inside it is an abandoned asylum and it is creepy it may look not as creepy on the outside but not on the inside it is dirty and very strange. Lets just say I think its haunted because there are noises that are explainable, presences, temperature changes and shadows that just creep me out and call me a baby but ghosts are creepy so don't judge. I have to find out what happened in here and if something actually did or if i am going completely and utterly insane. 

Now back to why us kids haven't been rescued well that is because only government officials are allowed inside. Also nobody can hear all of the children's screams for help from the outside. So outside its only adults and they aren't allowed to have more kids because of 'population' problems but it is really because there are no more cells which means no more room in the asylum. 

The day i was taken just keeps on replaying in my head over and over again like a broken record. I am now having a conversation with Derek we are always talking to each other and his cell is right next to mine so we talk well more like whisper since the guards hate us talking or making noise so we have to be careful and not get caught. 

Derek got taken at the same time as me but he was 5 and I was 4 but he doesn't remember how he got here which is strange but I let it go. His last name is Knight and I know that I have heard that name before but i cant remember where it will come to me eventually. I know what you must be thinks she cant remember where she has heard that name but i you remember i heard it when i was under the age of 4 so give me a break. 

Myself and Derek have grown closer and closer over the last 14 years so i wonder why he isn't telling me how he got here because all of us kids have told each other but he stays silent. I will find out what he is hiding because I have a felling he wasn't kidnapped and brought here...
