A depressed emotion

A depressed emotion,
Undetected by the naked eye to see,
A tug on the heart in the wrong direction.
Tears leak down her face like an ocean.
Only then people ask her what's wrong.
They tell her to get over it, that she's causing a commotion.
She's an attention seeker, she deserves no better than an inhuman condition.

Because a heart can only be stitched or bandaged together to fix.
Because broken bones hurt more than the words foul "humans" spoke.
Broken bones would heal but words would stay.
The population is run by society, where thinking highly of yourself is out of line, body shaming is constant and being depressed is attention seeking.
Where swearing is in everyday vocabulary.

He was different, he was true
But society changed him into another sheep, a sheep to follow the Shepard, then and only then would someone ever love him.

She was confused, she simply didn't know.
Daily insults hit her like a bullet,
Crying herself to sleep Coz simply she's "not good enough".
She was battling the demons inside until she gave in and could feel no pain.
Only the loved ones around her, where numb.
Others say she's a drama queen,
They say she conducted a selfish act, a cowardly act, a narcissistical act of treachery.
