I knew I was never alone in that apartment.
I could feel the presence in the air.
I could feel it watching me.
I could feel the darkness creeping through my closet.
I knew it was hiding behind my shower curtain but every time I checked it vanished.
I started hearing taps in the middle of the night, but I ignored it.
Soon, my things were being knocked over.
Spine chilling growls and groans from the dark depths in my apartment.
I knew it was watching me from the edge of my bed with red in its eyes.
I told everyone, seeking for help.
"You're just imagining things"
"It's all in your head"
"Ghosts don't exist"
One night when I was brushing my teeth, I had a feeling it was hiding behind the curtain in my shower.
I mean, I always had the feeling.
But this time, I wanted to check.
I slowly tiptoed to the curtain, and in a flash, that shower curtain was aside.
And there it was.
I saw it.
With red eyes and an unshaped black whispy body.
I screamed a bloody scream that echoed through the hall ways.
It just stared at me.
It smiled and showed its razor blade teeth then quickly disappeared.
And after that I never saw it or felt it again.
But the weird, disturbing feeling
I had when that thing and I made
eye contact with will always haunt me.
It's gone.
But I feel its memory burn in my mind.
