I can hear screams all around me as I toss and turn. Each time I turn, the screams get louder and louder. Suddenly pressure drops on top of me, crushing my air supply. There is a tight grip around my neck, almost as if I were dangling from a thick rope. I can feel my body turn cold as I lose more and more air. That's when I decided to open my eyes.
I found myself breathing just fine once more. I hadn't been able to sleep right since my twin sister, Alex, was kidnapped and hadn't been found. There was sunlight shining through my window, making it seem as if my floor was glistening with glitter. I noticed that I had sweat streaming down my face, so I got up to rid myself of facial sweat.
As I walked into the bathroom, I noticed that my hair was in a mess, taking the appearance of a bird's nest, almost. I look my reflection in the eyes, staring at the bags under my eyes, making my face appear far more red than it was. Tired, broken, distraught, and now feeling lonely, I got myself together and prepared for a bubble bath. It seemed to be the only thing to calm me when I had the worst of my bad dreams.
I poured soap into the tub and turned on the water. I sat on the floor and waited for the tub to fill at a good amount before I decided to soak. I got in the tub and laid back all the way, allowing my glistening red hair to become soaked. I tried to think of anything to keep my mind off of my reoccurring dream. I probably laid there for a good half hour before I drained the tub and took a shower.
After my shower, I realized that it was about time for me to get ready for school. Since my hair decided to be in perfect curls, I allowed it to air dry before I found my way outside to my blue Mini Cooper. Alex and I shared this car, because we both loved it. Without her, there was an empty feeling. It's been about 3 months and she hasn't turned up yet. I think the police gave up and they think she's dead, but I know she isn't. I can feel it in my dreams.
I started the car and headed towards school, which appeared far more dreadful since she came up missing. I got to the school, early as usual, and sat in my car until I heard the usual knock on my window. As I waited, the car was silent. I hated the silence, but it helped me think about many things. I am a strange person, but isn't everyone?
Then, I heard the familir tapping on my window. She was here. Lyra. Her short, black hair was pulled into a miniature ponytail. Her grey eyes looked slightly sad, knowing how I felt, but happy to see that I had finally come back to school after a month of being in the hospital. I unlocked my doors and let her get in the car.
"Morning, Axel" She greeted, with her typical uplifting, morning voice she had. She was such a morning person that it couldn't bother me anymore.
"Hey.." I mumbled to her, feeling horrid about this morning. She knew everything about me, whether I told her or if she had figured it out.
"Another bad dream?" She asked me in a softer tone, understanding my emotional pain.
"Same one. Every time I have that dream, I hear Alex, but I feel everything happening.. I know she's still out there, I just don't know how close or far.." I drifted off, wondering where she could be hidden.
"Maybe it's a sign.. A lot of twins can feel each other's physical pain whether it be at the same time or delayed. But I believe you. Many twins do have this sort of body telepathy that no one else can understand." Lyra explained, which I already knew about. I was just glad she could understand my situation. Most people would think that I was imagining everything and trying to continue hurting myself.
Lyra and I briefly spoke about the situation for a while before we decided to head to our classes. We both hopped out the car and headed our seperate ways, agreeing to continue the subject at lunch.
The day seemed to drag drastically. I forgot what it was like to be at school, almost. I was stuck in the hospital for about a month because I had severe panic attacks and I started intentionally hurting myself. My parents found out about it and decided to keep me isolated. I hated it, but I've gotten better because of it.
Lunch finally arrived and I couldn't think of eating. Everyone at the lunch table was glad to see me back at school. No one but Lyra knew why I was gone. Wyatt was shocked to see that I was back. When he saw me, he nearly crushed my lungs in a bear hug, he was so excited. Janelle, Ollie, and Hale all welcomed me back calmly.
Lyra and I told the others about my reoccurring dreams and they all agreed to an extent with us.
"I understand that there is a possibility she's still around, but is it very likely she would still be within the same state?" Ollie thought out loud, but thoroughly. He had a point, but at the same time, we live in the outskirts of Las Vegas. There are many hiding points that she could have been placed.
"But we live not even ten minutes from Vegas. The place is so big that you can hide a cemetery anywhere around here!" Wyatt pointed out.
"But if the kidnapper is smart enough, I doubt he would stay within a ten minute radius from the town. Usually they travel to where people would least expect someone to go to, but close enough to be caught if they wanted to. Chances are, he's in a 100-200 mile radius from here. If not, closer." Hale pointed out, making the table go silent and in deep thought.
"That's a scary thought...." Janelle said quietly, with a feared look on her face.
The table sat silent for a long while. No one knew what to say. I guess everyone was thinking of how close Alex could be, but how far away she could be, and with whomever took her. Then, out of the blue, the person I least expected to speak to me said something that shocked everyone but gave us all hope.
Elian had walked up to my table, mainly approaching me with a shocked look on his face. The words he spoke had caused my heart to almost stop.
"Did you hear the news, Axel?!" He shouted. Of course we all didn't hear the news. Everyone at the table had asked what the news was.
"Apparently the police found some drops of Alex's blood. It was maybe an hour ago, but it was such a small amount that they believe she could be alive." He spoke in such a rush.
"Where did they find her blood drops?!" Hale was desperate to know. I fell silent, Feeling my heart race, and skip beats at the same time.
"It was outside some abandoned sheltered building not even 5 miles from the school!"
Everyone stood in shock. I felt heavy until he said that. By then, I felt enraged. I could feel my skin heating up.
"While searching the building, they apparently found some of the kidnapper's skin and blood. I guess she scratched him." Elian continued.
I was heated. I needed to know more. I had to find both of them. Before I could say anything else, he spoke again.
"That's all I've heard." Elian finished and walked away.
By then, lunch was almost over.
"The kidnapper did that on purpose and I know it." I spoke, enraged about the news. "I am going to find out more.
Before anyone could stop me, I stormed off, heading towards my car, ready to find out every bit of information I could draw. I wasn't going to stop until the guy was dead and Alex is found unharmed. Before I could pull out the parking lot, I felt someone jump on top of my car.

I will upload pictures of each character when I finish drawing them all. I'm sorry, but it may take a while... but it will be done.
Please don't forget to tell me your opinions, and don't be afraid to do so either. I appreciate it all. I must go now, I have to prepare for a funeral for tomorrow.. :(
