I want to thank you guys so much. You really don't know how much you did for me. When writing a book it's hard. I know none of you have written any yet but, when you do, tell me. And I will always be beside you like you were beside me. I don't even know you, but I love you girls. You have shown me that when you feel the most alone, someone is always there for you. You might not even know them but WHABAMM! They're there. Thank you so much. I'm still figuring out how to dedicate chapters so.. Yeah. But I'm writing something extra special for you guys you just wait and see!
..............................................
I came out of my room with my new purple dress daddy got me. After doing a few twirls I sat down in front of Ms. Barns she had her head down and her nose was buried in a book. I sounded out the title "A-nnn-ei of G-reen G-aa-apples." I whispered proud of myself. "Hmm?" Ms. Barns looked up at me and I didn't hesitate to show off my reading skills. I pointed to the cover and said "Anney of green gapples." She laughed and I looked into her deep secretive eyes. "Anne of Green Gables." She giggled. "It's my favorite, but I really want to try Harry Potter! It came out years ago, but I haven't read it yet. I've read Shashago though, that's a good book, and also Dissapear."

Kate was confused she hadn't read any of those before, come to think if it, she hasn't read any books that she could remember. "Do you like to read?" Mrs. Barns asked. "I don't know, I can't remember ever reading before..." Mrs. Barns looked surprised and pleased. "Well! you're a natural! what do you say we read your first book today?! good thing I was prepared!" Kate watched as Ms.Barns stuck her arm in her big bag and pulled out two thin books. "here." Ms. Barns set them on Kate's lap and Kate ran her fingers over the edges and inched over to the cartoony man on the shiney new cover. "I'm giving these to you. promise you'll take care of them?" Ms. Barns stared at Kate's hands moving around carefully. "Oh yes. I promise." whispered Kate just loud enough for Ms. Barns to hear. a sudden screech came from Ms. Barns chair as she scooted over to Kate. "lets get started. read me the cover will you darling?" Kate sounded out the words but they seemed so familiar and the words flowed correctly out of Kate's small lips. "Bob and the yellow bike." Kate read. Ms. Barns smiled surprised "you've never ever read before honey?" "No." Kate answered quietly, unsure. Kate searched deep in her mind for the slightest memory and a faint voices flooded Kate's mind soon a image followed with it; a beautiful woman was cuddling up to Kate on a window seat in a cave, but they were underwater. the woman had a soft baby blue...TAIL! She had red hair with natural blond highlights and tan skin. her eyes were blue like a sea after a storm she was so familiar, there was a book in Kate's hand. Kate spoke, "B-b-bop?" Kate looked up at the woman "No sweetie. try again, " she had a soft calm kind voice. "b-b-bob!" "Very good! Now try the next word." Kate looked back down to the book "Bob and the- that's a sight word! I know those!" "Very good!" "ye-e-ll-ow, yellow, bik-bike! Bob and the yellow bike!" "Very good darling! your such a good reader!" the memory washed away but a scream was ringing in her ears, there was no image but a final faint voice screamed "NO! WHA-? KATE!" the scream faded away and the voices were gone. "Kate?" Kate's eyes snapped open. "Sorry, daydreaming." Ms. Barns tore her gaze away and turned to the first page, "lets keep reading."
The whole school day Kate couldn't get her 'daydream' out of her head, it couldn't be her memory because, she couldn't remember it, when did it happen? why couldn't she remember?! it seemed so real, yet like such a dream. Kate decided...she was finally going bonkers. but, the more she thought into it, the more her "real" memories of the orphanage became fake and her dream seemed more real. it was hard thinking and reading at the same time and Ms. Barns could tell something was up, she was just waiting for the moment Kate would spill.

I finally turned to Ms.Barns after reading the first few pages. "Have you ever dreamed about something that seemed unreal but a real memory at the same time?" I asked. "Well, yeah, but when I wake up I can hardly remember them, but it felt like a memory, a good memory, but no matter how hard I try, the dream doesn't come back..." Her kind voice trailed off. "Kind of.." she just didn't get it, probably no one will. no one ever will, except me, and I'm going to find out what this dream means.

Kate walked into her room and Ms. Barns walked out of the big machine leaving what seemed like a piece of her behind her, a feeling of sadness washed over yet sunshine warmed her skin. it was a feeling Kassey could not identify. As she started her old blue car she took one last look at the windows glistening in the sun, but on the second floor a small child was waving goodbye. the answer hit Jessie like a rock wall, she loved Kate, and by leaving her behind, she had left a piece of her heart.
