Ruby Follows Zim To School (Part Two)

As the two continued walking in silence she couldn't help but be excited for the day. Her smile brightened at the thought of being with Zim all morning. Zim couldn't help but shift his eyes at her. Her smile making him amused in a strange way. As the two finally made it to the school she couldn't help but notice how filthy it was. Yet she was still excited. The uncut grass, the littered courtyard, filthy teenagers sucking on each others faces that made Zim want to barf. Zim grabbed Ruby's hand tightly as he pulled her into the buiding not wanting to look at the filthy humans. "Onwards to the office Ruby!" Zim tugged at her hand as he dragged her through the halls. Her eyes examining the filthy walls and clean floor. She only wondered why only the floor was clean but she brushed it aside. Zim stopped outside a door with big windows on either side of the door. A small sign above the door saying 'Office.' Just as Zim went to grab the doorknob. The door fell inside the office making a loud thud on the brown carpet. Zim stood there with his hand positioned up to open the door. Zim shrugged not caring about the broken door and walked over it as if nothing happened and towards the desk lady. Ruby followed close behind as he dragged her to the old woman. Her brown eyes dull and dead. Her grey curled hair blowing slightly as the air conditioning pointed above her grey head. "Zim wants Ruby to be his classmate!" Zim exclaimed as he pointed his fingered glove at the old woman. The old woman face wrinkled in a tight frown. "Hm." She mumbled angrily at Zim. The old lady's dull eyes shifted to quiet angel behind Zim. "What's your name?" The old lady asked Ruby in a raspy voice trying her best to ignore the sneering alien before her. "Ruby." The old lady huffed and started typing into the computer. The printer suddenly turned on and started whirring alive. The old lady rolled over to the printer not getting up and pulled a paper from the machine. The old desk lady rolled back to her desked and passed a paper to Ruby. "Give this to Ms. Bitters." Ruby grabbed the paper feeling the warm printed paper. Ruby smiled very faintly and turned to Zim. Zim smirked crossing his arms. Ruby grabbed his hand running out the door smiling with Zim dragged across the clean floors. After taking a few wrong turns she and zim finally made it to the classroom. The bell rang as Zim and Ruby stepped in, Zim patting the dirt and dust off of his body. A tall old lady with a snake like body turned at Zim making him stop and uncomfortably shift closer to Ruby. The old lady sneered at Zim and pointed at seat in the first row. "Get into your seat Zim! The bell has already rang, or do you want to spend school time in the pits of leeches..again?" Zim gulped and quickly rushed into his seat not wanting to go back to that day where he had leeches all over his body which Gir had to pull off one by one. Ruby walked up to the creepy lady looking at her plaque which read Ms. Bitters on it. "Ms. Bitters i have a paper here for you." Ruby passed the paper to the strange teacher. Her old wrinkled fingers pulling the paper closer to her face to see. "Class this is Ruby, your new class mate." Ms. Bitters introduced bitterly to the class. "Ruby say something to the class because this is the only time you'll ever speak in the entire school year." Ruby nodded turning to the class. "I am glad to be apart of this School and i hope non of you humans do not soil my lovely friend Zim." Ruby overlooked the small class again and stared at a familiar male. His scythe like hair, black and shiny, dorky glasses and a long coat to match his dark colored hair. The non emotion face on his shirt. Her eyes stopped at him, his dark eyes wide and and mouth slightly opened. Ruby looked down quickly not wanting to make eye connection any longer. "Take your seat Ruby." Ruby sat down a couple seats away from Zim. As Ruby sat down she quickly peeked a looked at the strange boy in the first row. The boy made quick eye contact but quickly turned away embarrassed. Zim stared at Ruby his eye twitching as she looked away from Dib.
