A long time ago, in a universe different to ours where time passes slowly, there is a world named Adhrossa. This world contained 2 main species at the time. Man, and monsters. Man was split into six tribes. The light tribe, the dark tribe, the swordsman tribe, the barbarian tribe, the evil tribe, and the seafaring tribe. These six tribes were always fighting, always conflicting, always driving eachother nearer extinction. But one day, a sound like a cannon sounded, and two brilliant pure white dragons descended from the sky. They were Notrixid, and his mate, Altimatis. They brought with them their six children, some good, some evil, but all loved dearly by their parents. These six children were given to the six tribes, where they were given names in the human language. The light kingdom was given the golden son, who they named Tranquilos, for his power to calm anyone, the dark kingdom given the daughter of ebony, who was dubbed Serenac, for her restful and calm demeanor, to the barbarians a mighty brown dragon who they called Drasodis, naming him after one of the hardest rocks known to man, to the Sea-faring people a blue dragon was given, and he was named Mevohk the guider, for guiding them through some of the roughest waters, to the swordsmen, a silver dragon with elongated wings was given. Her name was Gracia, for her grace, her feats in the air inspiring the instructors to create new fighting styles based on them, and to the people of the evil tribe, a pale white dragon was given. He had no eyes, relying only on dark magic to see. His scales were dotted by splotches of blood, as if his body were some sort of sick canvas. He was named Paranisic, for he was the lord of fear and the father of terror, able to swallow any man alive, one of the worst fates imaginable. . He was also known as the farmer of nightmares, for he sowed the seeds of hysteria in man's heart, and reaped and feasted upon whatever grew from the seed. The six tribes, now with powerful leaders, ended their constant fighting, and forged a strong alliance. Notrixid  and Altimatis, their work completed, laid their heads down and breathed their last, for they were very old. As they faded, their souls shattered, and spread across the land, each soul fragment growing into a dragon much less powerful than the main six. These were called lesser dragons, and so the seeds for Adhrossa's third species, the dragons, were sown. But not all good things remain. For the dark-hearted Paranisic plotted against his brothers and sisters, intending to take the entire world for himself. He sought out a relic, the Great Stone. This stone kept the world in balance. Paranisic intended to corrupt the stone, thus turning Adhrossa into a dark land of nightmares. But the elder brother, Tranquilos, found out about his younger brother's plan. And he not only intervened, but after a long and bloody battle, with Tranquilos emerging victorious, he banished Paranisic to the dark lake, a place where escape cannot be achieved unless someone helps you from the outside, dooming him to only drink the bitter water of the lake, and eat whatever he could find, for he could not live off of fear alone. The evil tribe went into the Dark Lake with him, wishing to be close to their leader. And thus, Adhrossa was at peace for thousands of years.

Tranquilos, now a fully adult dragon, smiled. Tonight was a special night. It was when the five tribes excluding the evil one, kingdoms now, met atop a vast mountain to make merry until the sun set the next day. He was already sitting next to the elongated table, talking to the king of the Light Kingdom. His sister, Serenac, was also present. He tried to avoid her gaze, but her large eyes were piercing into his soul. "Something troubles you," she said telepathically. He put on his best innocent little hatchling face and responded, "Me? No! Not me!" Serenac sighed and said,"Dear brother, you realize I am the dragon of rest and peace. I can tell when you are uneasy." Tranquilos answered a question a knight had asked him, then said, "ok, you got me. I don't know. I just feel like something bad is about to happen." Serenac remained silent after that. She had felt it too. She had no idea when, but Adhrossa was about to be in great peril.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~King Solada walked through the halls of the ruined castle. He had no idea how long they had been in the Dark Lake, he knew only that he wanted to get out. He stopped as the figure of an immense dragon curled up in the floor appeared in the dim light. "Master," Solada said. The dragon woke with a start, fumbling about for a bit before crawling closer to Solada. "Ah, Solada. What a suprise. Seeing as how you woke me, this had better be good." The voice of the dragon caused the room to shake, and to make the king drop to his knees. The pale white bloody face of Paranisic came into full view, the black pits where his eyes should have been boring a hole right through King Solada. The fact that there was blood on his face, which looked relatively fresh, did not help the king's composure. "W-well sir," Solada began, taking a deep breath before continuing,"we are ready to commence the plan." A sadistic grin spread across Paranisic's face. "Splendid, splendid!" He said. "How soon should the process take?" Solada grinned as well and said,"with your help, only a couple seconds."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Paranisic looked at the contraption. It resembles some sort of cannon, with a large hole in the side. He then averted his gaze to the magic barrier that had barred his escape from this wretched place for thousands of years. He then looked at the mages around him and said,"on three. One, two, THREE!" He then breathed massive amounts of fire into the hole in the side of the "cannon", the mages quickly adding their own magic to his fire. Once they were done, the "cannon" fired off all the collected magic, which went flying into the barrier and exploded against it. The barrier crackles, fizzled, and then finally died. Paranisic was silent for a few seconds, before unleashing a roar that toppled towers and crushed rocks nearby. He looked to Solada, who had covered his ears, and said, "Go. Go into the world and build me an army. We must topple the other kingdoms if we are to succeed. The king nodded and rode off with the few people who had survived the ordeal of the Dark Lake. Paranisic stayed behind, for fear of giving himself away. He looked into the distant mountain ranges, looking at a mountain where he knew his brother was feasting. "Dear brother," he said with a sneer,"know this: before the year is done, I shall control all of Adhrossa. And your doom is coming soon. I know not when, I know not how, but I will make sure that your broken body is brought before me. And while you still draw breath, I shall feast on your fear as you realize you are about to breathe your last. I shall feed myself on your fear, and when I am done, I will turn you into a human and swallow you alive. A slow and painful death is the only death you deserve." And on that night, the air was filled with dread, for the lord of fear had returned.
