Feline Territory / 1987
"Hey Felina!" I turned to see whoever called me, seeing no one's in the room. My room. I just rolled my eyes and played with my yarn in hand, humming some random tune, I heard from the 'do not open' gate. Psh, who names a gate like that anyways?
"FELINA CHASE TRYPHON!" Someone yelled, I stood up from my bed and threw my yarn, accidentally scratched my bed, and... it tore in half. Ugh, reaaaally?! Who the heck is calling my name?!
I looked around, no one. I just squinted my eyes and looked up in the ceiling.
"WHAT THE HELL?! Diana! What are you doing up there in my ceiling?! Don't you have a ceiling in your room? Oh, wait, yeah, you scratched almost of it." I just shook my head at her. Diana is my friend, well, kind of. She lives next to my room. All felines in the territory are staying in one building with our own rooms, by the way, and to my luck, Diana is my friend next door. Oh well.
Diana is an annoying, brave and fearless feline. She's really adventurous and a risk taker. She also has this habit of scratching ceilings. She wants ceilings, not yarns, or some other stuff to scratch on. She's an idiot.
She giggled and let go of her claws that are hooked in the wooden ceiling and she landed straight in to my bed, I sighed. Guessing why she's in my room because maybe she saw something made her interested and wanted me to drag with her. Oh dear,
"Felina." She looked at me with her, blue cat eyes, it's like she's giving me that 'felina-i-have-something-to-show-youuuu' look. I gave her a look.
"What is it this time? Does Olivia know something about this?" I asked her. Olivia is her sister, but opposite traits. Olivia is always this 'know-everything' kind of cat. Very strict, sassy, and I must say a hella flirt. Oops.
She shook her head, "No." but she quickly stood up from the bed and literally held my hand.
"Felina. I saw something crazy, yesterday. I wanted to show it to you." She blabbered.
"You see something crazy every day, you know." I told her, quoting the "something crazy". She rolled her eyes playfully and shook her head.
"Crazier than I see every day." She said, her lips curling up each side, showing her dimples. "Okay? You're weird. Still, not going with you, today." She sighed.
"Pleaaaase? I swear, we'll not be in trouble, this time." She begged. "You have said those to me, but we're still ending up with trouble." I slightly shook my head down, but showed her my chesire smile, "but it's worth a shot." I winked at her, and let her drag me out of the room.
Durga Forest
"I wonder why they call this Durga Forest, sounds weird to me." She stated as we walk deeper to the forest. I know why this is called Durga Forest, my research last night, told me.
"I know why." I whispered to her. She looked at me, as we walk, our feet stepping into the crack leaves which made it creepier.
"Really, why?" She asked, intrigued.
"They call it Durga Forest because in a Hindi myth name borne by the goddess Devi, derived from the Sanskrit word durga, meaning fort or protected place, hence unapproachable. She is usually depicted riding a lion or tiger, and having twelve hands, each holding a weapon and assuming a mudra which is a symbolic hand gesture." I told her. Creepy right?
"How did you know about that kind of stuff?" She asked, the cold air hitting me.
"In a research, it doesn't matter. We need to get out of here." I said, panicking. You'll never know.
"God, you're such a bookworm, and no, we're already here, no turning back now."
"But, Diana, our safety is at stake! We don't have 9 lives. It's better to be safe, go back home, and play some ya-" I was cut off by Diana's hand were clamped in my mouth, "What the-"
"Shh. Did you hear that?" She looked around. I'm nervous. I'm not born to be brave. I'm born to be a feline. A feline with poise and discipline. Oh jeez, don't let me die yet. I heard Diana sighed and removed her hand on me.
"That's probably nothing. Maybe just one of the leaves, falling." She smiled and took my hand and led me ourselves, deeper into the woods.
As we walked and walked, leaves cracking as we take a step. I sighed.
"There it is!" She half shouted-whispered in me. I looked ahead of us. Damn. It's the gate. Many felines believe that the gate leads into other dimension. Diana probably heard these things, sparked her interests and dragged ourselves in here.
She let go of my hand and ran towards the gate. I heard footsteps. My cat instincts reacted and pulled Diana back and hid ourselves behind a tree. I know we should've climbed the tree, but if we take one move, we're going to be caught by whoever's footsteps are there. I know we shouldn't have go to this in the first place. I wished I stopped myself from agreeing to her. This is different this time, instead of Diana getting us in trouble. Me, I'm the one, getting us some trouble by going to the forest. I bit my lip.
I wish I was in my room, playing yarns, instead of exploring the woods.
"Shh." I whispered to her.
I closed my eyes wishing for our safety, when I heard a muffled scream coming from Diana, I opened my eyes, I looked at her, her arm is bleeding, I looked at the tree infront of us. It was a sword. Stuck in the trunk of the tree. In a blink of my brown eyes, a loud roar was released by the lion infront of me, and I'm right. Devi. The great goddess, is riding the lion.

"Damn, the weather's pretty today." I murmured. Looking out of the window of my flat. There's a heavy rain outside. I decided to lit the fireplace and made myself a hot chocolate. I wore the sweater, I used when we shoot our music video, Night Changes. I sat down on my sofa, watching the fire burn the woods.
