Let's Get This Started

Start from the beginning

"Hello ma'am." He bowed. I giggled and I curtsied I'm such a loser. "Hello sir. Do come in."

"Don't mind if I do." He answered. He had a wine bottle in his hand and when he stepped in he gave me a light kiss on the cheek. I took the bottle from his hand. "What my kiss wasn't good enough for you?" He teased. I shook my head. "Sorry, I'm only in this for the liquor." I teased right back. We both laughed and then I heard another knock on the door.

   Elliot.

I looked back at Sean. "Why don't you take the bottle and put it in the kitchen for me. It's right over there." I pointed and turned him around pushing him lightly. He looked at me for a couple beats but went into the kitchen. I took another deep breath and a swig of my drink in my hand.

The door opened and Elliot stood on the outside.

....With a blonde on his other side.

  "Hey..." I said.

He looked a little nervous and gave me a tiny wave. "Hey Vi, this is Madison. Madison this is Vi." She grinned and stuck her hand out. "My name is actually Violet" I corrected and shook her hand.

"Nice to meet you." Her voice chirped. I looked at them both for a minute and side stepped so they could come in. "Come on in." I said.

For some reason I felt.... weird. I mean, he brought a  new girl to my house. A completely different soul from our friend group. I always expected this to happen but this was the very first time. It hurt a little yet at the same time it made me want to laugh. To laugh! I suddenly wished I didn't send Sean off into the kitchen. He would have made me feel better. Or maybe I'm just looking for any type of distraction to avoid actual feelings?

Nah, clearly not me.

"So um.. go ahead and enjoy the party. The drinks are over there and music is in the living room."

I took the last gulp off my drink as I watched them walk away holding hands. I tried to ignore the burning pit in my chest. A person walked past me and I stole his drink. "Hey!" He exclaimed frowning. I downed the whole thing and hissed at him. He backed up and ran the other direction.

This party wasn't going as planned.

I grabbed another red plastic cup and drank like I was dying of thirst. I wasn't that drunk because I knew very well the situation that was still at hand. But if I kept up the pace I definitely would not be.

Elliot brought Madison for a date no doubt.

I invited Sean which technically makes this a date.

Sherry and her date are probably upstairs dying for food.

Scarlett was drunk and Lena was acting like the total opposite of herself. A complete and total idiot.

  I need to do something.

I took another swig of the drink. I spotted Sean in the doorway and flashed me a grin. "Hey." I exclaimed slurring my "y" so it was endless. Hopefully he didn't notice that.

He took my drink, sniffed it, and scrunched up his face. "Vodka." He muttered. Oh god he's disappointed. "You think I'm an alcoholic." I mumbled solemnly. He shook his head. "No! That's not it." He responded quickly. I tilted my head to the side waiting for him to explain.

He sighed and pulled me into the bathroom. "You are fabulous babe!" Mason yelled kissing roughly to a redhead. I squinted my eyes carefully to see the girl.

She giggled and pushed away from him. "Now you be careful or we might have sex!" She yelled right back and continued to laugh like it was the funniest thing in the world. Wait, I know that girl.
