Since the world went to crap, it's hard to keep sane. It's hard to trust. It's hard to love. I've been alone since the beginning of it all, so I guess I haven't had to deal with that much pain that the world brings.
Before everything, I was in a foster home, my parents didn't want anything to do with me so they gave me up. So I grew up with no parents nothing, just an old strict lady who took care of us all. I was trying to escape for years but it never worked; then I got beat each time. But it never stopped me from trying to get out of that hell hole. The one time that my escape worked, was the time where the world went to crap. So I guess I'm stuck in a hell hole anyways. Great.
I've been on the road for a while now, scavenging stores, houses, anything to find more supplies. I was so hungry. Growing up I wasn't the skinniest person, I always wanted to be skinnier like everyone else, I guess I got my wish.. But maybe a little too much; I am tiny now.
I was scavenging around for a little bit, until I found a white house that looked stable enough for me to stay in for a little bit. Now comes the fun part. Clearing it from the flesh eating things we call 'walkers'. I got up to the door and opened it with my gun ahead of me alerted. Nothing. The house was clear. I decided to sit down on the couch and try and get some sleep; until two people came through the door. Damnit.
I grabbed my gun and springed up from where I was laying and held my gun ahead of me, pointing at the two strangers in the doorway.
"Drop your weapon. We aren't going to hurt you." The tall man with curly hair and a beard said firmly yet convincing. But I'm not giving in the quickly.
"I'm Rick. This is my son Carl. What's your name?" The bearded man so called Rick spoke up again after realizing I wasn't giving in that quickly.
I turned my head to the boy standing beside Rick. Damn. He is so damn cute! I thought to myself as I locked my brown eyes to his crystal blue ones, causing me to drop my gun. What am I doing?
"Silver." I spoke softly not looking away from the beautiful boy with the sheriffs hat.
"That's a pretty name." Carl spoke up with a gentle smile spread across his face.
"Thanks." I felt myself blush. Gosh this boy.
"Do you mind if I ask you a few questions?" Rick asked stepping closer to me, so it was easier to see him. I could already tell that he was Carl's dad, just by his eyes.
"Go ahead." I replied without hesitation.
"How many walkers have you killed?"
"Too many to count." I let out a little scoff. We are in the apocalypse what kind of question is that?
"How many people have you killed?"
"One." I said suddenly remembering.
"Why?"
"He was trying to rape me." Is all I said.
"Ok, Silver I think we are going to become really close. Don't worry you can trust us, your family now." He spoke sweetly placing a hand on my shoulder. And I let him. I feel like I can trust him already. But still I have to keep my guard up. And considering there is a cute as hell boy, this is going to be hard. Very hard.
