A child has been born and the palace is filled with joy.

"It's a boy" King Leonidas shouted blissfully while carrying his firstborn child.

The crowd gives a round of applause.

A name has been given to the child, "Pleistarchus, that is his name" King Leonidas announces. And the crowd start tossing wine for the firstborn child of the King.

"My beloved" Queen Gorgo whispers to his ear. "I promise to you that I'll be a good mother to our son"

"You've been genuine and loving wife to me, I have no doubt that you'll be good and caring mother to our child" King Leonidas

Leonidas (before he became King) is one of the great warriors in the town and he trains children in the area at such a young age. People respect him a lot, not because of his status, but because of his ability to fight and conquer cities. His other half, Queen Gorgo (before she got married and became the Queen) is known for her brilliant mind. A clever woman that inspire young ladies and admired by a lot of men, though only Leonidas captured her heart.

The two (Leonidas and Gorgo) love each other dearly that are witnessed by many. When Leonidas' half-brother died and no male successor to the throne, Leonidas became the King. At that time, he knew the responsibility he's going to carry.

One thing about King Leonidas, admired by a lot of people, is being patriotic. He loves his country and he's been fighting to give his people peace and security. His unquestioning love and loyalty to his country is truly incredible.

Years have passed by, and Pleistarchus is now a five-year old boy. Queen Gorgo is playing with him in the field and telling the boy,

"When you reach seven, mother's gonna miss his cute baby boy"

"Why mother? Are you going to leave like father always does?"

"Listen to me son, your father will be back soon. He has some diplomatic talks with our allies. You'll understand it when you become king one day"

"But why are you saying that you're going to miss me?"

"Because when you reach seven, you'll be trained by your father. You'll be as strong as your father. Don't you like that?"

"Yesss!!! I'm excited. I'm gonna fight father". They both laugh.

Queen Gorgo's love to her son is beyond doubt

When Pleistarchus has finally reached seven, King Leonidas never leave his boy and his loving wife. It is because he knows that this is the right time to train his boy.

Queen Gorgo's watching them as he trains their son to carry a sword, protecting himself with a shield as King Leonidas hit him with a wooden sword.
