Shay's P.O.V

I woke up to the extremely bright, fluorescent lights of a hospital room. It took me a while to adjust to the lighting, but eventually I was able to. I looked down, and noticed that I was in my favorite pajamas. My entire body ached, so I had to grit my teeth a bit as I pulled the covers off me and stood up. As I approached the room door, I noticed it had the Avengers' logo on the window. I was in the HQ's hospital wing.

I slowly walked out of the hospital room, and made my way to the lounge, where I hoped everyone was. I made it to the lounge, and nobody was there. I looked at the clock on the wall.

8:47 a.m.

That means everyone's eating breakfast or training. I slowly hobbled to the kitchen, and I found Uncle Steve, Dad, Sam, the twins, Thor and Vision. None of them noticed my presence, as they were busy with their various activities.

"Is there anything soft I can eat? ", I asked as I cradled my extremely bruised and surprisingly unbroken jaw.

I accidentally startled everyone, and they all turned their heads in my direction.

"Look at you! ", Sam smiled at me. He walked over , and softly hugged me, being mindful of my beaten body.

"Great to have you back, Sunshine. ", Sam said as he pulled back.

"Great to be back, Sammy. ", I smiled. Thor stomped over, and wrapped me in a huge hug. I could see everyone behind him cringe.

"Thor...my arm...and my...everything else...", I groaned. He immediately let me go.

"My apologies, Lady Shay. ", Thor apologized. He's like a giant, bone crushing teddy bear!

I told him it was okay, and he exited the room saying something about Asgardian business to tend to.

"It's like I can taste blood all over again... ", I said with disgust. Everyone chuckled at my disgusted face. Even on my down days, I've still got it. Wanda and Pietro walked up to me next.

Welcome home, Inflori! ", Wanda hugged me gently. Wanda's nickname for me was "Inflori", which means "blossom" in Romanian. She said it was because I have "grown into her life."

"Yes, we missed you so much, Bambi. ", Pietro hugged me next. When he pulled back, I punched him in the arm with the little force I could muster!

"I told you not to call me that! ", I laughed. He said my big, blue eyes look "doe-like". I'm like 60% sure he hasn't even seen Bambi! Pietro laughed, and he and Wanda walked past me. It was time for their training.

"Welcome home, Miss Shay. ", Vision nodded to me. He's still trying to decipher human emotions.

"Thank you. ", I said, and he left as well. Dad and Uncle Steve walked up, and hugged me each.

"Thank you both...for getting me out of there... ", I said.

"It's no problem, kiddo. ", Uncle Steve said.

"Yeah, we're just glad we got to you two in time. ", Dad added on.

"Wait! Where's Asher? ", I asked, wondering about my new friend.

"C'mon. I'll take you to him. ", Dad motioned for me to follow him. Dad, Uncle Steve and I walked through various hallways, and wound up back at the hospital wing. Finally, we came to one of the hospital rooms, and Dad opened the door for me to walk in. As soon as I entered, Asher slowly stood up from his hospital bed. I could tell he was like me, in a lot of pain.
