PHAN ONE-SHOT

It was mid July and Dan and Phil were still settling back into their flat after being away at tour for so long.

Tour had been very hard on their relationship, as they weren't officially out yet. Dan had struggled not to grab Phil's hand while walking around the venues. Phil had several close calls where he was barely able to stop himself from kissing Dan's cheek while on stage.
Videos were easy because they would just edit out certain parts, but being around so many people for long periods of time, it was hard to act platonic for so long. The lack of contact had driven a wall between them that was only starting to come down.
It was a nice Sunday morning when Dan woke up to a sweet smell coming from the kitchen. As usual, Phil was no longer in their bed when Dan woke up. He got up and slipped on his sweat pants and black t-shirt. He rounded the corner into the kitchen, only to be greeted with a loud thud as his face hit glass.
"AW FUCK"
he cried as he stumbled away from the glass door leading to the kitchen. Yet another thing he was having trouble getting used to again. "Dan!"
Phil laughed as he helped him to his feet. Dan sighed as he rubbed the newly forming lump on his forehead. Phil stood on his tip toes and placed a soft kiss on Dan's forehead, before leading him into the kitchen.
Dan gasped when he saw the arrangement of pancakes on the table before him. Phil wrapped his arms around Dan's waist and he turned around to meet his lips in a soft slow kiss. Things were finally getting back to normal.
After a very filling meal there were still several pancakes left. Phil put them in the fridge for later and the two spent the afternoon snuggling on couch while catching up on some anime.
Later that evening Phil was checking Twitter when he noticed lots of fans were asking about his live show. He hadn't done one since before the tour and he felt bad for not updating his viewers. He grabbed his laptop and went live on YouNow.
About 20 minutes later he started getting hungry. He went to the kitchen and returned to the camera with the left over pancakes. Seconds later, Dan walked in and greeted the audience before sitting down to steal some pancakes.
"Mine!"
Phil jokingly snapped, as he stuffed a syrup coated pancake in his mouth. Dan laughed at Phil's syrup covered mouth.
He slowly leaned over and kissed Phil, while playfully licking the syrup off of his mouth. He giggled and pulled away and said softly,
"You can edit that out."
Phil's eyes went wide as his gaze turned back to the camera and realization came over Dan in an instant.
Neither boy spoke as the comments in the chat went insane. "HOLY SHIT" "PHAN IS REAL" "OH MY GOD" Phil reached up and turned off the live show. With in minutes every social media they had was being stormed with notifications.
Phil turned to Dan, who had buried his face in his hands. Phil reached over and tilted Dans chin up to meet his gaze. A slow smile spread across Phil's face as he leaned over and slowly kissed him, as tears rolled down Dan's cheeks. "It was time"
Phil whispered against Dan's lips. And Dan began to smile.
"Yeah..."
Dan spoke, as he removed a gold ring from his pocket, and slid it on to his finger, never worrying to take it off again.
"...I guess it was."
