I sat down beside my mothers grave letting the wind blow through my curly hair. There was so much i wanted to tell her. My mother have been dead for a year now but the pain of it felt like it happened just yesterday. My father tried to stay strong for me but i could hear him crying out at night. Its painful to hear such a strong man in utter pain.

"Leela, it's going to rain soon." my bestfriend Jessica said from behind me. Jessica was the only reason i was able to get out of bed the first few months after my mother passed away.

I looked up at the clouds. It started to turn gray as the wind picked up. "Im going to stay a little longer. I'll text you when i get home." i stood up and gave jessica a hug. She looked at me questionally but didnt say anything. Jessica knew it would be no point in arguing with me. Once i make up my mind about something its set in stone. "Be safe." she said as she started to walk to her car.

I straightened up the flowers on my mother's grave but it was no point. The wind was too strong. Some of the pedals started to fly away. I couldn't help but laugh. Rain at a cemetery was so cliché. I got up to head home but with each step i took the wind blow me two steps in the opposite direction. If i cut through the woods i could get home faster but there would be less light to guide my way. Not like i needed it anyways. I walked through the wood a million times. I knew it better than the back of my hands.

As i walked through the woods i regretted not wearing jeans as the branches and twigs scratched against my legs. The rain dropped heavily down upon me. My nose started to burn as the freezing cold water hit my face. I picked up my pace. Even though the woods is a comforting place for me i began to feel chills run down my spine. The woods which is normally full of noise between the aminals running around crunching twigs to the noisy birds chirping but now its just.. Silent

I looked around me and the once recognizable wood suddenly became strange and unknown. I felt around for my phone and called Jessica.

"Can you come get me?" i asked as soon as she picked up not waiting for her to say hello.

Before i could hear her response someone rushed pasted me knocking me over. "Jerk!" i shouted out. I reached my hands out trying to find my phone. It was too dark to see and i had no luck. I stood up and brushed my clothes off. When i looked up i saw two bright red eyes locked on me moving faster.

I wanted to run. My brain was screaming to my legs. Run damn you run. My eyes stayed on the beast moving towards me. I dont know why i couldnt move. The beast moved into pouncing position. The muscles in my leg woken up and i turned around to run. I took two steps before i felt the weight of the beast against my back. I fell to the floor as the beast nails pierced through my skin. I cried out in pain. I soon felt nothing as the beast put its teeth into my neck. I saw red before my vision went black...
