The Interrogation

Chapter 7 (part 1)

Maddie's POV

It has been a month since I arrived back in Atlantis from the break that everyone made me take. I am going to be stubborn and say that I didn't need it but deep down I knew I had to get to away so my head can stay clear. I know what you are probably thinking but with the support system that I had, I knew I would be ok in the end.

Just walking through the halls of the city to go on my mission with Hannah and everyone seems a lot happier. Nate is no longer in the city. The IOA have decided him being our Rep was a mistake. Or what nobody else knows is that General Landry had a fit about it and the president made them change the rep. But there you go.

"Maddie you look deep in thought this morning. You ok?" Hearing John saying that is making me think about the day ahead but yeah thinking about it, I am alright, "Yeah I'm alright colonel. I'm just thinking about my lovely day ahead."

As soon as I said that Hannah came into the gateroom with Rodney. She is the only person in the city that can make him back down if he doesn't agree with what anybody else thinks. In a way that is good but when it involves one of the marines, we just let John handle it.

"Are you ready for our day ahead Han?" I look to my best friend when I say that I hope she got the new mission phone I have been asking about for the last couple of months, "Yeah I am ready and just in case you were wondering I have the phone you were after." Yay.

"How did you manage that one?" Whilst trying to think about how she got it she replied with, "I just bugged him and bugged until he gave it to me." That's the best friend I know and love, "Awesome. Ok Chuck. I think we are ready." As I say that he dials up the gate to whatever planet we are going to. When he finishes saying that I hear Evan on my radio,

"Sorry I couldn't make it to the gateroom in time." He makes me laugh. Especially when he doesn't do early mornings, "that's alright honey. We all know how much you don't like early starts." With that Hannah and I walked through the gate and hoped for a good day.

Hannah's POV

"This is some weird planet we are walking through Maddie." Just looking around this place is making me feel strangely nervous, "I know Han but remember what John wants us to do. Teyla thinks that there are some of her people here. We just have to watch ours backs. I've got yours and you've got mine." That is true.

"Erm Maddie. I think I see something over here." That is one of Teyla's people. Oh my god, "Ok Hannah you follow and I'll go in the other direction to see if there are more. Stay in radio contact. Every ten minutes ok?" She is definitely worried about something, "Ok got it." With that I go into sprint mode and go after them. But before I can think about anything else, everything just seems to go black.

Back to Maddie's POV

I am getting really worried now. It has been 15 minutes since my last radio contact with Hannah. Before I go into panic mode I try radioing her again, "Hannah whats your status?" As hear the usual crackle of no response I begin to hear a familiar voice on the other end.

"Hannah is perfectly safe Maddie. Now do as I say and I won't hurt her." Oh no. this is Michael's new planet, "Now why would I do as you Michael?" Ok Maddie try and stay calm, "Because I will kill her if you don't." Oh no you don't, "Fine." Before I knew a bunch of his men were surrounding me, "Aww Michael I am flattered. Such a nice warm..." and before I could finish what I was saying I found myself out cold lying on the ground. Before I closed my eyes I saw him right in front of me with that evil grin on his face. Now I'm in trouble.

*ten minutes later*

Jesus my head hurts. I think I might regret opening my eyes and as soon as I do my regret sinks in, "Ah it is good to see you awake Madison. But I do have to give you some bad news." Ok where is Michael going with this, "And what bad news would that be? Because I don't think you'll be able to get what you want."

"I am here to tell you that Hannah is dead." Wait what? Please don't let that be true, "She put up such a good fight but it wasn't enough." Ok try and keep calm. Getting angry at this point won't do you any good, "You're lying." As the news starts to sink in I can't help but think about what on earth I am going to John and McKay, "And tell me Madison. Why exactly would I lie to you?" Ok he is seriously annoying me now.

"Because Michael people like you lie all the time to get what you want and I not going to give you what you want." Even I can smell the anger radiating off me, "She wasn't an important part of my plan so why would I keep her around? And as for you, well you can help me but what do think that I so desperately want?" Ok Maddie just breathe. Nice and slowly.

Oh my god. He wants me to be his queen.... "You want me to be your queen." As soon as I say that all i can hear is his evil laugh, "You're very smart Madison. Major Lorne was right about you." Why is he now talking about Evan?

"You leave him out of this. If you touch him I swear to god I will kill you in the most horrible way imaginable." Yeah I can't hold my anger in for much longer, "Now now Madison. There is no need for you to get angry." Yes there is, "Now if you excuse me I have other business to attend to."

As soon as he leaves the room I can feel a tear roll down the side of my cheek and all I can think about is Hannah. How the hell am I going to tell John, Jack and Rodney? What on earth am I going to do?
