Ding dong

After receiving the note I stayed home from school, to avoid anything strange. Something that didn't exist was scarier than something that did. Jessica called me this morning telling me I was just paranoid and that it'll just blow away. I couldn't believe her especially when I saw that note. 'Ding dong' the sound of the doorbell meant my mom was home as I ran to the front door to greet her I felt fear rush through my bones. Before I opened the door I checked the peephole to make sure it was nothing abnormal. I saw a black van drive away, something must be up. I realized it wasn't my mom when I opened the door there was a package. Grabbing the packaged I slammed and locked the door. Scared for my life I thought "mailmen don't drive black vans". Looking at the package I decided to open it, as I cut it open I heard a noise. 'Tick' 'tock' 'tick' 'tock' thinking it would be a bomb I shielded my eyes.
It wasn't, it was a clock. At first it looked like a normal clock but if you looked closer the numbers were missing and in their place read "You're time is running out". I crawled up behind my desk, bundled in a ball and waited for my mom to come home... I started to hear shuffling from the front door of my house, then I heard, "I'm home!" Finally it was my mom what I had been waiting for! I ran to the door and greeted her with a giant warm hug from behind, she was very startled. "Baby what's wrong?", she asked. Somehow the words of the clock and the note and the text just couldn't come out I was frightened that if I said something she wouldn't believe me..

Since my mom knew something was up she let me sleep in her bed with her. Next to her I felt safe like no one could hurt me.. I woke up to my mom making my favorite breakfast, chocolate chip pancakes!!!! Yum! She's knows one way to cheer me up plus I know she's trying to get me to spill... After breakfast I thought maybe I should tell her I mean if anyone can fix this problem it's her.. I ran straight to my room where I dropped the clock and I couldn't find it.. I looked everywhere in my room and in the entire house somehow it disappeared.. "Now she'll never believe me!!"
