As she walked through the door, Trey stood behind the door, praying he set everything up right. This was his chance to do what he didn't get a chance of doing before he got arrested. As the key turned and the door was pushed open, he grabbed her with the most delicate care and spun her into his arms, his hand covering her eyes.
"Baby, you know how much I love you right? And that I could never get you out of my mind? Well, I have a few surprises for you alright? Don't say a word, just embrace it." He removed his hand from upon her eyes as he moved it down to her hips, walking behind her as he told her to go to the living room. She gasped as she saw all her favorite candy and snacks on the ground surrounded in rose petals and candles. She turned to face him and smiled as tears began to form in her eyes.
"Baby you didn-". He covered her lips and kissed her cheek. He loved her with all his heart, he wanted to do this, he needed her, forever. He walked ahead of her,showing her the feast of all her favorite candies. Then he grabbed her hand pulling her gently to him. He smiled,prepared for the next surprise he was about to give her.
"Baby, don't freak out OK? I have a few more surprises for you tonight."
He reached into his back pocket and grabbed a petite sized black box from his pocket and kneeled down, his right hand caressing the bottom of her back, looking up smiling at her, watching her jaw drop down in surprise.
"Baby? Baby what the hell are you doing?" Melanie giggled nervously, causing him to chuckle.
"I'm doing something I should have done a long time ago, Melanie you are my world, sitting in that cell, thinking every night about how much I hurt you, it used to kill me. It still does. I promised to myself that once I was out that I was going to find you, make you my wife, have a family, and be the man you always deserved to have. Melanie Melissa-Bella Melaci Cortez Larose, will you give me the pleasure, the honor of becoming your husband?
