Have you ever seen a werewolf, or a wolf for that matter? I didn't until the worst morning of my life. The morning that turned my life upside down, the morning of the beginning. It was the morning of my tenth birthday.
You see ever since my sixth birthday my mom told me I would get a very special surprise on my tenth birthday. So, knowing this, I was very excited for this early fall morning.
I ran down stairs dressed, teeth brushed, and hair combed. I ran into the kitchen to see my mom, dad, and baby brother at the table, I can tell I started everyone.
"Good morning honey, we thought you would sleep in. It's your birthday you know?" My mom said with a smile.
"Ya, well I thought you could give my big surprise right now?" Almost jumping up and down with excitement.
My mom just stares at me and my dad chokes on his coffee, of course my six year old brother, Cody, was unfazed.
"Cody, sweetheart, why don't you go and watch some cartoons?" My mom says sweetly.
"Really, ok!" He says with a smile, and runs into the living room.
My mom and dad start to clean off the table. "So mom, can I have my surprise?" I say holding my hands behind my back.
She pats one of the chairs at the table, "Come here, sweetheart, and sit down."
I went and sat down across both my parents, kind of worried now. "So what is it?" I say with my hands in my lap.
"Honey you know that book I read to you?" She says with a sad smile.
"Yup, it was about werewolves, shapeshifteres, and demons."
"Ya, that's the one, well you know the main character in the book?" She says with shaking hands.
"Ya, her name is the same as yours, Clara."
She smiles and nods, " well, sweetheart, that story was about me. Emma, you are part werewolf, part shapeshifter, and part demon.
