I noticed the coffee shop was busier than usual on Saturday. I was meeting Natalie for our usual coffee date. I was exhausted, the guys didn't leave until well after 2 in the morning, but girl time was girl time and I was looking forward to it. I entered the shop and looked around for Natalie, I didn't see her so I found us an empty corner booth and took a seat.  I pulled out my phone and sure enough there was a text message waiting, "Hey Jess, be there in a minute just around the corner"  I smiled to myself, as usual she was running behind.   The smile quickly turned to a frown when a message from Cole came in. Dreading opening it as I had nothing to say to him I let out a sigh, "I have your stuff whenever you wish to pick it up"  Short and to the point I thought what an ass, it had been less than 48 hours and he had already gathered my stuff and boxed it up.  So much for that he could wait. I shut my phone down holding back the tears, shortly after the door jingled and Nat came in.

"Sorry Jess, I got stuck at work, what did you want to drink?"

"I'll have a vanilla cinnamon latte please" I sat there checking facebook while she went to order. She came back shortly with our drinks and sat down.

"So what happened the other night between you and Cole?", she asked concerned, "I was really worried about you?"

"Well he has apparently been seeing another woman for the past 5 months, he didn't want to tell me incase it didn't work out. I guess the joke was on me.  I am so glad he told me before I went and made a fool of myself by sleeping with him. It hasn't even been two days yet and he has already texted me asking me to come and pick up my stuff from his place. Can you believe it?" I sighed.

"What did you say?"

"I haven't responded yet, I don't want to talk to him right now let alone see him, so I am just going to let him wait. I am so hurt, but at the same time glad that I know", I wiped away a stray tear and took a mouthful of my latte.

"So what was this text about last night, about the heavens dropping something in your kitchen last night.  I was so curious I was going to text you when I got home from the movies but it was so late."

A small smile formed on my lips, "Just about the hottest guy I think I have ever laid my eyes on in forever.  His name is Brett, about 6 feet tall, dark black hair, crystal blue eyes,  a chest most girls would die to be against.  He works with Brandon and the guys, they all came over last night for a fire and dinner."

Natalie started to squirm a bit in her seat as she looked over my shoulder, "Jessie don't look now but there is a man watching you" ,Natalie giggled, "He's really hot Jess, kind of resembles this Brett your speaking of if you ask me"

I didn't want to turn around but she had me curious. I quickly turned my head in the direction she was looking and almost died. There he was all 6 feet of hard bulging muscle. I could feel myself blushing, Brett stood there our eyes locked. "That's him alright, the man the heavens dropped into my kitchen last night" I said to Natalie.

Natalie let out a giggle quickly followed by a heavy sigh, "I can see why you say that"

He stood there in jeans, his chest filling out his shirt in all the right places.  He flashed a smile at the barista as she took his order, and he stepped off to the side to pay. "Jessie stop drooling" I heard Natalie say as she started to laugh while checking him out.

"Maybe we should just take our coffee and go" I said to her starting to stand up, "It doesn't matter anyways Nat, I just had my heartbroken, I couldn't go after him anyways, Brandon would never have it. You know how protective he is, plus he doesn't even know about Cole yet"

"Ah yes Brandon, how is my imaginary lover doing anyways?" Nat asked blushing. She had had a crush on him ever since elementary school, he however had never been interested and for the longest time didn't even know that Natalie existed. I felt sorry for Natalie, she was good with most guys but around Brandon she always become tongue tied because she liked him so much.

"Ah Jessie right?" I heard a deep voice from behind me, "I thought that was you?" I looked up and met his sparkling blue eyes and sexy smile. "I just wanted to come over and thank you for dinner the other night", he said as he winked at me. I could barely think let alone speak, I just sat there nodding while staring into his eyes. This was ridiculous I had never been like this around anyone.

"I'll let you get back to your coffee. Just wanted to say Hi", and like that he was gone.

"What on earth is the matter with you Jessie? I've never seen you like this, your acting like me" Natalie said getting up. "I have to get back to work.  Just a small word of advice if you like him you kind of have to learn to speak to him. I gotta go, text me later when you get your senses back"  While laughing Natalie gave me a hug and was back on her way to work.

I got home around 5 after having stopped off to get a few things at the grocery store. Brandon had gone out of town for a couple days to do a quote on a job, so I had the house to myself.  As soon as the groceries were away I changed into my sweats, ordered a pizza and flipped on the TV. I was catching up on my Outlander series when the doorbell rang. I ran to get my purse and opened the door, my breath caught, Brett stood in front of me, looking hot as hell. "Brett!"

"Ah the beauty speaks," he grinned, "Is Brandon here?" he asked looking from my eyes to my lips.

I could feel myself starting to blush and a wave of heat came over me, I shook my head no, "he's gone out of town for a couple of days. He had to do a quote for job. He said he should be back by Thursday. If its an emergency I am sure I can get ahold of him." I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and began searching my contacts for Brandons cell number when Brett placed his hand on mine, electricity shot through my arm with his touch.

"No that's not necessary Jessie, I was just driving by and thought I would stop by.  Its a little lonely in this town when you don't know many people.  If you need anything while Brandon is away feel free to contact me." He said still holding onto my hand. My heart was racing and I could barely breathe.   I normally would just contact one of Brandon's friends while he was out of town but most had gone away for the weekend.

I shrugged, "I guess we could exchange numbers, just in case."

I shut the door after saying goodbye and fell against it. It was all I could do to breathe and my stomach felt funny. I made my way back to the couch after the dizziness stopped.  I texted Natalie, "He just stopped by, we exchanged numbers, I feel like I am going to faint lol"    A reply came in almost immediately, "I'm so jealous, do me a favor and sleep with him already"  Typical Natalie I laughed to myself turning my attention back to Outlander.   It was going to be a long weekend.
