"Hi, Ariaa. How are you feeling today?" I asked.

"Good." She said before looking up at me.

She was not. Definitely not. I could tell by looking at her eyes and the smile that she was trying so hard to force out of her lips. There was something definitely wrong.

Her upper eyelids were swollen. It was similar to the kind of puffiness you get from crying the night before. She also had really dark under-eye circles indicating lack of sleep for days. And her hands, there were blisters and cuts all over. The kind you get only if you do alot of manual labour.

I didn't know the reason to why she had came to the doctor today, but as someone with psychological knowledge, i could definitely tell there was something bad going on in her life right now. Something that was bad enough to cry and lose sleep over.

"Why are you here today?"  i asked politely.

"Slight headache." She replied abruptly. Almost as quick and perfect as though it had been rehearsed over and over before coming into the room. She went on placing her fingers on her right temple indicating where the nonexistent pain was coming from.

She was lying about her headache.

"How long have you had your headache?" I played along.

"Urm about two days now?" She was starting to get nervous and fidgety from lying.

Thank god my brother wasn't the one treating her or he would have known she was faking it and it would have been trouble. Her medical history on screen showed that she had visited the doctor almost thrice every week to get medical certificates. And each time was a different illness. She was definitely lying. No matter how unhealthy a person is, it was almost impossible to fall sick that often.

"Have you been stressed lately?" i asked hoping to get something out of her.

"Hmm?" She looked up at me as nervous as someone who had just had her biggest secret out.

"No no. I think i hit my head against the wooden edge of my bed last night." She said as she tucked her hair behind her ears. Her hands were starting to get clammy.

"Alright, Ill check your pulse and blood pressure right now." I said as a form of assurance that i've bought her story and also to stop her from feeling nervous.
