"What?"
"I was going to I invite you in my house."
"I mean- invite me in your house?"
"Yes."
"Why?"
"To clean."
"What?"
Mark searched his pockets for something, Jackson following the American's actions with a perplexed gaze.
"Here it is!" The older triumphally pulled a small piece of paper and shoved in the younger's hands.
Jackson could feel his ears getting redder by the second as he read through his own note.
Wouldn't hurt to clean, will it - JS
He face palmed mentally. Why did he had to write that. Mark, upon noticing the other's embarrassment, smirked.
"It was early in the morning and I was confused. Look at my handwriting I don't even-"
"No excuses. You're helping me clean."
The Chinese couldn't help but giggle at the apartment which held the weirdest memories from lunch. It was about 5pm now and the boy was still confused as to why Mark wanted him of all people to help.
"Don't you have friends or something? Why not ask them to clean?" He yelled hoping the other would hear him from his place in the bathroom where he was washing his dog.
"They never comment on the state of my apartment. Plus, they live far away."
"In America?"
"Yah, I have friends in Korea too."
"Doesn't seem like it." Jackson muttered under his breath.
"I heard that!" Mark's voice shouted back clearly struggling with something in the bathroom.
The guest noted the difference in Mark's tone when he was yelling. It didn't really sound like yelling - it was more of not-the-usual-whisper the boy used to talk in.
"Are you okay there?"
No reply.
"Mark-hyung?"
Nothing.
"Mark?"
He stood up heading towards the bathroom but stopped mid-way. Earlier's events filled his mind and although Jackson knew he should've learned his lesson, he continue towards the door.
"Hey, are you guys okay-"
He gasped when he pushed the door open only to be met with the messy duo fighting in the bath. Coco was frantically running around, covered in foam while Mark was sitting in the bathtub, his clothes drenched from the water under him.
"Come back~" The hyung whined in English and rested his head back tired.
"What are you doing?" Jackson asked earning two pair of eyes to meet his.
"Coco needed a wash."
"Is it always like that?"
Mark managed a sheepish smile and returned to his task to wash the dirt off the white fur.
"Let me help." Jackson found himself saying.
"Do you know how?"
"No, but you can tell me."
The elder sighed, standing up from his place in the tub splashing some water over at Jackson. The younger grimaced but didn't say anything and just stole a side glance at his hyung. Meanwhile Mark was taking off his hoodie, leaving only his plain white shirt on. Of course, the Hong Kong male didn't miss the flash of skin the other revealed when the cloth accidentally rolled up. But he looked away.
