intro: 'kay, so I don't posses the best set of blending skills ever. But this is a quick tutorial on how to do it, and with practice, you will be able to blend amazing (unlike me).
apps used: superimpose/picsart
method: superimpose: 1) Open up a 1:1 black background/picture of your choice. I used black because it's just easier for me.
2) Get your first image and place it in the centre of the image, or wherever you want it to be placed.

3) Crop the person out. Slowly blend the person into the background by using the soft brush and turning the smoothness up. The soft brush is going to be your best friend during blending!

4) Save mask a png and save the photo and then merge. I like to do this because it's like a safety net-if I make a mistake, I don't have to go back to the start. Doing this really saved me multiple times.
5) Add your other images, doing the same thing. For the first-year Hermione photo, I simply positioned her over the deathly hallows Hermione, and used the soft brush to reduce the opacity and I just rubbed it over the areas where they meet.

6) Okay, so you can do this step before/after the previous step. Go to filters and adjust. If you can't adjust the foreground picture, adjust the background. This will not alter anything as there is a black background.
7) Do the same for other photos. You're done!

picsart: 1) Like in Superimpose, choose a background of your choice. Go to the 'add photo' tab and add your first photo.
2) Use the eraser to blend the model into the background. There's no soft brush in Picsart so this is a bit harder, but still manageable.
3) Now add your second photo. This is where it gets hard. Basically, Picsart has amazing filter tools. But when you're in 'add photo', they only offer the FX option, which is a bit sad. So it's a bit harder to adjust the filtering. What you have to do is save your picture so far (with the first model blended in) and open up your second picture. Open up the blended in photo in (for Apple users) 'photos'. Simply rotate back and forth so that you can see whether the filters fit, because now you can use Curves and Adjust and all that jazz.
4) Now open up your first blended in picture. Add the filtered second picture. Using the erase tab, blend the picture in. As said before, there is no soft brush, so it's gonna be harder. Change the opacitya levels if you want.
5) Repeat and you're done!
note: Sorry there weren't pictures for the picsart method, but as I said, picsart is acting up right now for me so :(. I hope that was helpful! This tutorial was requested by @sweetie_teeya.
Also to answer questions, to crop/resize my covers, I normally just start off with a plain 256x400 canvas and add stuff on (I use Picsart for this). You can also use the 3:4 crop option in Superimpose though, which is what I like to do because it's quicker and I'm lazy.
