‘It had been almost a month since I transferred, and Quentin was definitely showing signs of interest toward me, and unfortunately, so was Eliot. I wanted to tell him that Erin was interested, but Quentin was always around, so I couldn’t. But I had to find a way without Quentin knowing...’

“Eliot, could you maybe give us a moment alone?” Quentin asked sharply

“If you can say it to my girl, then you can say it to me.” Eliot said

“Listen carefully, Eliot. I’m not your girl, I never was and I never will be. So do me a solid favor and please leave me alone.” I said

‘Eliot had then caught up with Erin, Quentin had turned to face me, he took hold of my hand, and a spark of energy shot from my hand, coursing through Quentin’s veins, as he fell nearly unconscious to the ground...’

“Oh, my God... Quentin, I’m so sorry. Are you alright?” I asked

“What in hell just happened? Ow! I feel like I was just electrocuted.” Quentin said

“I still have a hard time keeping my powers in check. I’m sorry.” I said

“I’m fine, I just need to clean up.” Quentin said

“I’m just glad you’re okay.” I said

“I’ll just be a minute..” Quentin said

“What a shame, Vickie. You try to get close to the guy you’re crushing on and he nearly gets himself barbecued.” Eliot said

“Why can’t you just leave me alone, Eliot?” I asked

“There’s a party in my room Saturday night, you should come, try one of my cocktails.” Eliot said

“I don’t drink, but thank you anyway.” I said

I need to get this girl on my arm, but how--? A love spell. That’s it!” Eliot thought

“I heard that, Waugh. There’s no way you’re hypnotizing me with a love spell.” I said

“How did you--?” Eliot asked

“I gain a new ability every day.” I said

“Eliot, I’d like to spend some time with Victoria... alone.” Quentin said

“This isn’t over, sweetheart. You will be mine.” Eliot whispered menacingly in my ear before walking away

“What’s with Eliot?” Quentin asked

“I wish he would just back off. He is hell bent on possessing me.” I said

“I’m sorry Eliot’s what?” Quentin asked

“No matter what I do, he won’t leave me alone. But we shouldn’t let that ruin our time alone together.” I said

“You know, you’re right, Victoria. We should focus on our date night.” Quentin said

“Wait, Quentin, did you just say ‘date night?’” I asked

‘Eliot had watched as Quentin pulled me close, embracing me. I could feel the warmth of his blood against my skin, and his heartbeat sounded like the sweetest thing in the world. Quentin then leaned in close, but was frozen a few inches from my mouth...’

“What--? Eliot!!!” I yelled

“You called, Vickie?” Eliot asked

“Please don’t call me Vickie. I’ve always hated that.” I said

“Someone having a bad date?” Eliot asked flashing a pouty quivering lip.

“I wasn’t until my date was frozen. Now unfreeze Quentin and leave us alone.” I barked angrily

“Fine, whatever you say, Princess.” Eliot said, snapping his fingers, as Quentin had almost fallen

“Quentin...” I said, catching him

“Victoria, what happened? And why do I feel so stiff?” Quentin asked

“It’s a long story, Quentin.” I said turning to angrily glare at Eliot

“Fine, I’ll leave.” Eliot said

“Eliot, jealous because we’re on a date? I have known him since my first day here and I’ve never seen him like this.” Quentin said

‘Eliot had watched as Quentin had leaned in as before and kissed me slowly and passionately. Eliot with tears in his eyes turns away, heading to the courtyard... I had felt alive, Erin had found Eliot, and that’s when she decided to tell him how she felt...’
