It was Tuesday, my second day of highschool at Akedemi High. I had gotten used to where my classes where and I secretly followed that boy around. While following him I found out which classroom he was in. There isn't a minute that goes by without his image in my mind. I stare into space during every lesson but usually sensei doesn't notice because I sit in the back of the classroom and the students in front are always called on...such teachers pets.

Right now I am sitting in my classroom, staring at nothing when I hear my name called. I look up and almost everyone is looking at me. I blinked. Sensei was glaring at me and said my name again. I didn't know what she was asking of me so I looked around for a clue. If I got in trouble and sent to the counselors office I wouldn't have time to see that boy. As my eyes darted every which way I saw a boy with a martial arts uniform look at me from the front of the room. We locked eyes and he shook his arm which was pointed towards the ground. My eyes traveled to his hand. He was holding a piece of paper that had black writing on it. It said The edo period! Sensei called my name even louder this time and I looked straight ahead and said, "The edo period." Sensei looked satisfied with my answer and nodded. "Correct, please try to focus on the lesson Miss Aishi." Sensei said as she turned back to the chalkboard to write something else. I looked back at the martial arts boy who helped me. He smiled and turned back around before I could do anything else. Why would a stranger like him help me?

The bell rang 30 minutes later and every one rushed out of the classroom to go to lunch. I got out of my seat and pushed in my chair. As I made my way to the stairway I hear a voice. "Hey, not even a thank you?" I turned around and saw the martial arts boy from earlier, he had a smirk on his face.

I clasped my hands together and slightly bowed, "Oh, um thank you for helping me out earlier."
The boy smiled, " No problem, my name is Budo Masuta by the way."
I forced myself to smile, " My name is Ayano Aishi." What does this boy want with me?! I thought.
Soon the hallway was left to the two of us. "That's a pretty name...I should get going though." He said.
"Okay. Actually I should too." I said.
"Alright, see ya later." He said and walked away.
As soon as he was out of sight I ran down the steps and into the courtyard where that boy usually sat for lunch as far as I could tell from yesterday. His back was facing me and he was sitting on the edge of the fountain. My heart soared and I looked around. Everyone was minding their own business so I walked behind a tree that was across from him and I peeked at him, pressing my body against the tree as flat as I could to not be spotted. He sat there peacefully watching the sky. I studied his features. His black eyes reflected the clouds and I wondered what he was thinking about. I think I will call him Senpai.

As I let out sigh I heard someone sighing with me in unison. I whipped around to see a girl who was was also watching Senpai behind a tree across from me. My eyes widened in anger, who is that?! Who does she think she is to dare look at MY senpai that way. I will not allow this. She had long orange pig-tails and pink knee high socks with white polka dots. I backed away from the tree so she wouldn't notice me. Something happened inside of me. My blood felt like it was boiling. I had to get away from people before I tried to do something that I felt I would regret later.

I ran out of the courtyard and ran up countless flights of stairs and opened the door to the roof. I was breathing really hard and I wondered if I need to train to run faster. People were still on the roof, eating their personal bento lunches. I walked behind a wall and sat down on the white floor. My breathing returned to normal and I had time to myself. It was quiet and there was little noise.

I closed my eyes and tried to calm myself  with the image of Senpai's beautiful black eyes. I smiled a little but then the face of that orange haired girl appeared and my eyes snapped open in frustration. I had to do something or else I would go insane.

Heh

Who am I kidding?

I am insane.
