"I can't, okay?" Mallory cried, tears brimming her eyes.

"What, why not?"

"He'll expose me." She whispered, tears continuously leaving her sad eyes as she completely broke down in front of me.

Some kids passing the school hallway had started noticing the scene, as I took her wrist and pulled her into the girl's bathroom.

"What? I'm confused, Mallory. What happened to you these past few days?''

I hugged her, as she leaned her head on my shoulder.

She was crying so hard that her entire body shook, it scared me.

I never remembered a time, Mallory was this upset that she had sobbed so hard.

This was the first time I've seen her so panicked, so.. Vulnerable.

"I can't tell, okay? That's all." She whispered.

The bell rang loudly, making me jump as I breathed out.

"Evie please. Please don't tell anyone until I can explain this to you." She pleaded. "I'm begging you."

"Okay." I finally said, hugging her one more time. "I'll see you later, alright?"

I followed behind her, as she turned right and I turned left.

So many people were looking at me, literally staring with no shame and silently judging.

Now I understood why Hailey didn't want to come back as of now.

Just so many people knew about us.

We weren't what you would call popular, but most people knew our names enough to know what was going on.

I see officer Hanson down the hall, next to my History class as my cheeks flushed.

I grew nervous. Why was he even here?

Of course, maybe detective Jones sent him in to keep us under a full monitor.

And of course, he just had to be at the class I was going to.

I needed to talk to him, but not now. I don't think I could, in front of all these people.

As I approached the room, people were already inside, but officer Hanson had paled, his eyes wide and worried.

"Evie." He said lowly, as I frowned at him.

"What? What's wrong?"

"I'm so sorry." He said, shaking his head.

My heart dropped, even though I still had no clue what was going on.

With the look on his face, I knew something wrong had happened.

I stared at him for awhile before I walked into the classroom.

Everyone was crowding around something.

What was it?

I gulped, quickly moving through the people.

They looked at me, almost in disgust as I tried to get a glimpse of what was happening.

I hear a printer printing, and papers constantly dropping to the floor.

The floor, was covered in the same printed photo of officer Hanson and I kissing, as I held a hand to my mouth.

Tears welled in my eyes, as people started to talk.

I didn't have to listen to know what they were talking about, making my stomach drop.

Some people who just came in picked up the photos looking at them as a tear streamed down my face.

"Stop. Please." I sobbed, taking them from people's grasps.

I hurriedly tried to unplug the printer, as I quickly tried gathering all of it before anyone else could see.

"What the hell is this?" I hear a familiar voice behind me as I shot up, locking eyes with him.

Michael.

"Michael, I.. I'm sorry. I was going to tell you, please. I can explain." I went on, walking up to him.

He backed away. "You weren't going to tell me anything." He stared at me, almost in disgust.

"I was going to, I swear. I just.. I was so embarassed of myself, I knew it was wrong. Just please." I cried.

Michael's lips were parted, this sad look in his eyes as he had left the room.

"Michael." Tom tried to stop him from leaving, but he quickly shoved him back roughly.

"Get your hands off me, you prick." He snapped, as I closed my eyes, crying shakily.

Running out of the classroom after him, I had to explain.

This had to be fixed somehow. The deaths, and now this?

God, could this get anymore hellish?

No, no it couldn't.

Again, I couldn't go back to that rotten hell again. School.

I mean of course, it's all about getting through and finishing your proper education, but I hated it.

Ever since everything that's happened? I don't think I can really be out anywhere.

Detective Jones said he'd come by to talk, but that's all that's really happened.

Talking, no action at all.

I'm literally this close to trying to find whoever this was myself, I don't care if it risked my life.

This had to end, and talking about incidents wasn't going to make anything happen.

Something had to be done.
