I Hate You, I Love You. || Beau Brooks

One.

As my front door slams, my head blots up from the pillow, but soon falls back into it when I realize that it was just my mom leaving for work.

"Riley, wake up, your going to be late for school," My older sister, Lea whispers into my ear.

"Oh whoops, I'll be down stairs in a few," I reply with a smile.

"sounds good, we'll be leaving at around 8:45." She reasons,

"wanna stop at Starbucks on the way?"

"No, we can't, the Brooks brothers already offered to drive us." she weakly smiles.

"Great," I mutter under my breath as Lea leaves the room.

One of the brothers, Beau Brooks and I have known each other since we were eight, and we've hated each other since the day we've met. Just something about him drives me insane, in all the wrong ways. His brothers and I are friends, and he's nice to Lea, it's just that him and I don't get along. To add on to the problem, everyone thinks that we are either dating, or siblings. So in every class we have together -which is all of them- we are sat together, which is never good. Once in Science, he threw a cow pupil at me. A cow pupil. and people wonder why I hate him.

"Riley? are you ready yet?" Lea yells up at me.

"Nearly!" I holler back.

"okay! the boys are almost here!"

"lucky me...." I whisper

It drives me insane how oblivious people are. Like no one in my family realizes that Beau and I hate each other, and everyone in our school "ships" us.

I run down the stairs whilst trying to put on my left sock, I ended up falling of course.

"good one retard!" Beau yells up at me.

"takes one to know one" I retort with a smug look on my face.

"wow, never heard that one befo-" he starts

"brake it up ladies," Beaus younger brother, Jaidon stands in between us.

"I'm hungry!" Luke, Beaus other younger brother/Jaidons twin brother yells

"Starbucks?" Lea and Jaidon Scream in sync.

"Why not," Luke Beau and I agree. I find it sad that the only thing all five us can agree on is Starbucks.

"Shot gun bitches" I say, carrying out the 'S'

"You had it last time!" Jai whines.

"Ohhh muffin" I say squishing Jai's cheeks.

"Get a room!" Luke screams

I've known Jai for a while, and I think he has liked me for a few months now, and I shouldn't be complaining. The Brooks brothers are blessings, they all have tanned skin, Beautiful eyes, Nice hair. And all three of them are very fit. It's just some of them *cough cough* Beau *cough cough* have a very bad attitude.

Once we arrive at Starbucks we all order, and get our drinks. We have a few minutes to spare so we sit at one of the booths near the window and talk. Beau was strategically sat directly I front of me so that he could constantly kick my shins.

"School starts in a half an hour, shall we go?" Luke says standing up.

"For sure," I agree and start to leave the small Starbucks we were in.

Once we got to school, everyone was staring at Jai and I. Lea and I aren't the most popular kids at our school, but the boys are. So when Jai walked in with his arm wrapped around me, people start to question what's happening.

"Rileyyyy!" Alicia, my best friend screams, "ohhh, now I wouldn't want to  interrupt anything here," she starts

"she's all yours," Jai chuckles

"I was never his," I whisper as we walk away, "why does he think he owns me?!"

"Boys are like that," she says, she would know. She was had multiple Boyfriends in her life, and I've had none. "wait what are you guys?"

"what do you mean?"

"are you dating, thinging, crushing?"

"oh, I don't even know man. I don't really like him in that way, you know?"

"I completely understa-" she starts, but gets interrupted by the bell. "fuck. we'll see ya at lunch!"
