Falling Hard

Chapter 5

Before I know it High School is over and I'm accepting my diploma. I go to college today. Its goint to be my first day at college. I also look really differnt. I got contacts and my braces off. I don't really have the nerdy look anymore.

I get out of bed smiling knowing that I don't have to deal with Miranda and her possy and any more encounters with that punk bad boy Harry. That was just stress on the last week of school.

I hop into the shower and use my coconut shampoo and conditioner and strawberry body wash. Once I dry my hair and body I put on my long jean skirt and my plain white v-neck shirt. I straighten my hair and put on my flats. I look presentible. I go into the kitchen to see breakfast ready. My mom is sitting down drinking coffee.

"Can I have some coffee too?" I ask.

"Sure. Help yourself." she says surprised. I never really liked coffee, but I think since today is my first day of college I should try something new.

Once I get my coffee I get some eggs and pancakes and sit down across from my mom and eat.

"I can't believe my baby is going to college!" My mom says looking up from her magazine.

I laugh and take a bite of my pancake.

"I'm really excited." I say smiling.

"So CSU is about forty minutes from here. I do expect you to come visit every other weekend." She says in a serious tone.

"Ok mom I will." I say

"I just don't want you to leave." she frowns.

"Mom I can manage." I laugh sipping my coffee.

"Ok. I know you can." She forces a smile.

"So you and dad are going to come visit me tomorrow so I can say my goodbye to dad?" I ask.

"Yes we are." she smiles.

My dad had to go to work but my mom got to get off today to go with me to college.

I finish eating and I grab my packed suitcase and other stuff that I will need. We get into my car. I start the engine and we drive all the way to Champions. Champions is the name of the town where the college is at. It is also the name of the college. 

When we arrive We go to a table with a petite women standing behind it. 

"Hello! Welcome fellow Champ! Is this your first year at CSU?" she asks and I smile and nod.

"Ok, name?" she asks picking up a clip board and a pen.

"Rose. Rose Heemer." I say looking at my mom. My mom looks back at me and smiles. I hope she doesn't strat crying in a minute.

"Ok Rose! Your dorm room number is 455. Its on the second floor of building A. Here is your key." She says handing me a key taped to a piece of paper. I smile and thank her as I pick up my suitcases. My mom helps and we head for a large building with a black letter A on it.

"There it is." I tell my mom.

"Wow this college is big." she states.

"I know."

We head up to the room. When we get there I put the key in the key hole to room 455 and it opens. The room has stuff in it. I guess my room mate has already been here. There are bunk beads. Her stuff is on the top. She has a bed made already. She must be a tom boy. All her stuff is very boyish. 

I set my stuff down and my mom does the same.

"They got here before you." My mom smiles.

I laugh.
