When I was a little girl, I would think that as we grow up we find the love of our life. We are always happy, we get married, have kids, and die always thinking we had the best life in the world. As I grew older, I realized that, that wasn't exactly how life was and going to be for me. As I was younger that's all I wanted to do in life, was to find someone who loved me for me, but of course visualizing my parents through the years it simply faded away, besides my parents.. mostly my mother constantly reminded me that love cant be real, to not get married, that kids ruin your figure.. your life.
I was in middle school only 13 years old when it all started to actually appear the reality between my parents and when I started thinking of an insane child. I was in school when I was called to leave by my mother, as I was gathering my things from my locker I began wondering what was happening, that I wasn't planning anything or knew any appointments I had that day. Finally I got to the doors leading to the waiting room, my mother dressed like she went to church with sunglasses on. I starred at her till she started sniffling, I asked what had happen, all she told me was that my father was fallowing her.
We were in the car when she explained everything clearer, I simply was a child not knowing nothing of my surroundings was freaking out, my heart just started pounding, hearing every beat of my heart through my ears and feeling it at the palms of my hands. She called a sister from church to meet us up at church, my mother crying at the next conversation they were having on the phone, I starred and did nothing but zoom out into space, thinking of all the possibilities why my father was trying to get her. By the time we got there the sister arrived and my mother got off the car and hugged her, crying on her shoulder.
I heard a vibration, I looked down onto the arm rest and it was my mothers phone.... my father calling her. I grabbed the phone, opened my door and simply held the phone up and yelled that he was calling. My mother yelled back and said not to answer it at all, still confused what was happening because I didn't get enough details. My father did not stop after the one call he already made even after being rejected, he called till at some point my mother would answer which was 23 calls later, I could hear her from a distance yelling at him to leave her alone to not be near me and my brothers.
By the time we had already spent being there my mother realized that my older brother had came out of school. She explained to the sister that we had to leave to get him and if maybe she could pass by and pick up my little brother at his school, sister agreed... my mother rushed to the car and we drove away, my mother was freaking out because she didn't want my father to pick him up and try to use him to see her. I was trying to calm my mother down and say to her that he wouldn't do that but even I wasn't convinced. We stopped at the bank where we usually pick my brother up but from a distance we saw my fathers truck, we tried so much to call my brother to tell him not to go with him but he wouldn't pick up his phone. We called once more and that time my father answered and he asked if I can pass it to my mother so I did. They argued about she didn't want to talk to him or see him and to let my brother go with her.
She hanged up on him, we followed my father back to the house where my father went up to her and they just yelled at each other. My mother told him to stay away from us, she told us to pack our things, I saw as my father cried and tried to convince her to not take us away from him. I ran to my room, dumped everything out of my backpack and stuffed a bunch of my clothes. Me and my brother stumbled against each other in the hallway and asked what was happening and why were we getting our things. Both of us were clueless, we heard our mother to hurry up and put our stuff in the trunk of her car, while they were both still arguing we were in the car waiting for her, she finally ran to the car and we drove off. Didn't know where we were heading and for how long
We arrived to a hotel, ordered a room and we threw our things on the chair and floor, my mother crying on the bed... we all went to her and tried comforting her in the best way a 15, 13 and 6 year olds can. Asking what was wrong with our father, she didn't exactly explained much, for the rest of the night we watched tv or fell asleep early. The next morning all I herd was that there was food, I got up and there was a table full of food and drinks that smelled and tasted delicious, I asked where did the food came from and my mother and brother both said that another sister and her husband helped and made us home made food. I was eating a taco when the sister and brother our elders came in and smiled and told my mother that god was with us and was going to help us through our problems, my mother cried for being grateful that they were here for us.
