The return part 5

" But before I begin my story, I want you to clarify how you got out."

Wally chucked. " How much time do you got?"

Jinx snorted " AS LONG as it takes."

Wally nodded his head. " Ok, were to start?" He thought it over for a minute and a light bulb went off. " Oh Yeah, Alright as soon as you ran out of the room, which hurt by the way."

"Don't start this now, just tell the story." Jinx demanded .

" As soon as you left, Beast Boy came in right after you, long story short I convinced him to help spring me ,it was a long and semi- complicated plan. Just getting into this room was a hassle, and I've been in here all day. The rest of the titans were looking for me. Raven came this close to finding me." He symbolized how close by using his fingers. A Very small amount of space.

" So that's why Robin was acting so frantic." Jinx figured out.

" freaking out is an underestimate." Wally put in shrugging.

" Ill believe it." Jinx mumbled.

There was some awkward silence between them before Wally spoke up.

" Now that I have shared my story, its time you shared yours."

Jinx stood up, and walked over to the wall. She slightly banged her head against it, and dangled her arms.

"I ran into the Hive Five at the mall with Starfire."

More silence.

The creaking of the bed was heard. Then footsteps. Jinx felt his hand go to her shoulder. His face was stern.

" What happened?" He demanded.

Jinx recapped her story of her run-in with her old team mates. Wally listened carefully taking in her every word. When it came to the point when Seymour asked if Jinx was being hurt by Kid Flash, Jinx felt Wally's grip on her shoulder tighten. When Jinx's story was done Wally had a mad look on his face. No not mad, ferrous .

" He... He thought I would hurt you?" Wally asked.

" I was surprised too, I just suppose that since I didn't answer any questions they asked me, they just assumed that I was being... you know."

Wally smacked the wall and turned away cursing.

"I should have been there." He yelled pissed off. " I said I wouldn't let them come near you, but look what happened. For the first time in my life I broke a promise."

Jinx walked up to him and put a hand on his back. " Don't blame yourself its not your fault ."

Wally turned to look at her. " just like how you blame yourself for me?'' He asked, venom dripping from his voice. Jinx recoiled from him, stepping back.

" What happened to you is MY fault."

" Oh, Cut out the bull crap Jinx. I did it to protect you and well being." Each word rising in volume.

" Are you the one who had to watch that brutal seen? No YOU didn't! so you wouldn't understand that from someone else's point of view."

" JINX STOP BEING AN IDOT AND OPEN YOUR EYES, EVRYTHING IVE DONE IVE DONE FOR YOU, ITS NOT YOUR FAULT. YOU DID NOT MAKE ME PHYSCILY MOVE IN FROUNT OF THAT BEAM ALRIGHT! WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO SEE THAT?" Wally yelled. They have gotten into arguments before, but this was a full on fight.

" WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO STOP PROTECTING ME HUH, I CAN DEFEND MY SELF YOU KNOW!" Jinx screamed back. They didn't care who heard them, they needed to get this out of the way.

" IM VERY AWARE THAT YOU CAN PROTECT YOURSELF, BUT NOT AGAINST SOMETHING LIKE WHAT HAPPENED TO ME, THEY DAY I STOP PROTECTING YOU WILL BE THE DAY I DIE!" Wally hollered getting up in Jinx's face.

Wally has never, gotten into Jinx's face and yelled at her. EVER. Jinx closed her eyes, covered her ears, and turned away from him. Wally released his anger seeing her like that. He was sure she was crying. He hated it when she cried. Jinx sniffled and faced him.

" When will the blaming stop?" she asked barely audible.

Wally didn't like the sad look on her face one bit. He wrapped her in a hug, glad that she returned it, carefully holding onto him like we was something fragile. All while burying her head in the crook of his neck.

" It stops now." He softly said into her hair.

"Only on special occasions." Jinx added.

" Like birthdays and bar mitzvahs." Wally joked. Jinx laughed, it felt good for her to laugh again.

They just held each other there ,their eyes closed, no one dared moved. No words were exchanged . just basking in the silence of each other's presence. Jinx was the one to break the silence this time.

" I don't know what it is about you, but I'm so in love with you."

" Many things, my looks, my charm, my charisma-" Wally began. Jinx slightly pulled away from him.

" Don't push it."

Wally kissed the top of her head.

" wouldn't dream of it." Jinx buried herself back into his shoulder, sighing contently in his arms.

" I love you too." Wally murmured .

They just sat here in each others company, hoping things would go their way. But of course they were wrong.
