Chapter 2

After school I walked up to Rayan and I's car. I waited for rayan to come so I can tell him bye. I soon see him and his friends walking my way.

Jordan: wassup fellas

Rayan: hey Mighty Mouse.

Jordan: -.- I'm not even that small

Rayan: -_- You're 5'1

Jordan: whatever

Rayan: bye girlie

Jordan: bye ray see you at home

Him and his friend hop in the car and drive off. I begin to walk down the street when I heard my name.I turn around to see Diggy coming my way. I smile as he approaches me.

Diggy: hey Jordan. I thought you might want me to walk you home since you're walking alone.

Jordan:sure

We began walking and Diggy began to say stuff about himself.

Diggy: My real name is Daniel Dwayne Simmons , I'm 17 and my birthday is march 21st making me an Aries .I originally lived in Queens with my family, but then we moved to saddle river NJ. My family still lives in saddle river but I moved out here to live on my own to work on my career in the music industry.

Jordan: wow you're so mature for your age . I think it's really cool that you're going out and doing what you have to do to become who you wanna be.

Diggy:Thanks

Jordan: So what part of Brooklyn do you live in?

Diggy: I live on Park Slope street.

Jordan: Oh word? me too

Diggy: So enough about me, tell me things about you.

Jordan:Well Im Jordan Gianna Lopez , Im 17 and live with my mom and brother Rayan. You might have seen him around school. My birthday is August 6th making me a Leo. My favorite colors are purple and gold and I love A$AP Rocky.

Diggy:Nice..

We kept walking until we reached my house.

Jordan: thanks Diggy and ill talk to you tomorrow about the project okay?

Diggy: Anything for you and alright. See you tonight?

Jordan: Definitely

He smiled at me and did that backwards walk he always did until I got inside. He really is something else....

It's now 7:30 and I'm waiting on Rayan to come so we can get ready and go to the party. I was sitting on the couch in sweatpants and a sports bra watching Stomp the Yard. I began to think about Diggy....he's really something else and I haven't even known him that long. I see him as a friend but he makes me feel different. I stop being so hard and relax a bit.....like how I felt when our family was normal. When Ma didn't have weird men or smoke and when daddy was around and didn't gang bang.

I felt tears welling in my eyes as I thought about my life .I need to stop before I start feeling sorry for myself . My thoughts were interrupted by Rayan coming through the door with Popeyes in his hand.

Rayan:Hey Jordan I bought....

He stopped talking when he saw tears in my eyes. He got a sympathetic look on his face and walked over to me and gave me a hug. I barely cry so when I did he knew something was really wrong.

Rayan:What's up?

Jordan: I was just thinking about all the problems we got...

Rayan: *sighs* it'll be ok and you'll be ok trust me. Ill always be around even if mom or dad isn't. Now c'mon lets eat.

After we ate we went upstairs to get ready for the party.I went to the bathroom to wash my face brush my teeth and shower .When i got out I went in my closet and pulled out a white ,strapless lace dress and some Jeffery Campbell's. I got dressed and put on a gold chain. I left my hair out , sprayed myself with Viva La Juicy, grabbed my phone and went downstairs. I sat on the couch and waited for Rayan. When he came down we went out to the car and he got in the drivers side and me in the passengers side and we were out.

We finally walked into the party and it was liiittt. Rayan pulled me in a corner and talked to me.

Rayan: Don't talk to nobody you're not supposed to, Don't put your drink down and come back for it because someone could have spiked it, don't take anything people offer you and last but not least have fun.

Jordan: Alright ill get you when I'm ready!

We went our separate ways and I sat down by the bar. I felt someone tap my shoulder and I turned to see that it was Diggy. I smiled at him and he smiled and gave me a hug.

Diggy: Hey Jordan. You look amazing.

Jordan: Hey Diggy. Thanks.

I blushed and looked down. He touched my chin with one finger and spoke.

Diggy: chill don't hide your face.

The just made me blush more.

Diggy:Do you wanna dance?

Jordan: yeah

He grabbed my hand and lead me to the dance floor. Red Nose by Sage the Gemini came one and I started dancing on him. He held my hips and swayed with my body. Then one of my favorite songs which is Number one by Stylo G and Gyptian (Song on the side). Diggy pulled me closer into him and I began to wine on him. He put his face in the crook of my neck and I felt his breathing. It sent chills down my spine....Well, everything he does sends chills down my spine...what the actual fuck ?

Rayan and I were driving home from the party and we were talking about random things.

Rayan: So who was that boy you were with?

Jordan: Oh! You mean Diggy? He's my art partner. And he's a pretty nice guy

Rayan: So you feelin him or nah?

Jordan: Uhh... I don't know probably not

Rayan: Mmmhmm suuurree Jordan.

We both started laughing. We eventually pulled up to our Brownstone. We got out the car and walked up the stairs to the door. When we got inside my heart dropped at what I saw....It was my mom and some dude sucking face on the couch. I looked at Rayan and he looked hella pissed. Rayan spoke and I could tell that he was trying to control his temper.

Rayan:Ma! We home...

She turned around and smiled. I don't know why because there ain't nothin to smile about.

Ma: Oh Rayan! Jordan! This is my new boyfriend Ronaldo.

Ronaldo: Hey

He stuck out his hand to shake Rayan's hand,but Rayan just eyed him down. Then Ronaldo looked at me and bit his lip. He grabbed my hand and kissed it.....GROSS! I quickly yanked it away and scoffed.

Ronaldo: Ok Ma feisty I see..

He stepped closer and Rayan pushed him back.

Rayan: BACK THE FUCK UP AND DON'T TOUCH MY BABY SISTER! SHE AIN'T YOUR MA AND YOU DON'T SEE SHIT BITCH!!!

Ma:RAYAN!

Rayan:Shut Up the hell up Ma!

Rayan grabbed my hand and dashed up the stairs. When we got to the top he gave me a tight hug. He let go and spoke.

Rayan: Don't come out for the rest of the night. And lock your door so that shady ass nigga don't try shit.

We said good night and went our separate ways. I went into my room, undressed and put on a big t-shirt and shorts. I climbed in bed and began to think .Why me? But then I stopped to think about Diggy. There's something about him that makes me feel funny inside . I sighed and closed my eyes trying to forget about my issues and slowly drifted off to sleep....
