You: (shut the refrigerator and walk to the sink)

Y/m: (giggling)

Larry: you think the girls are asleep.

Y/m: they should be. It's almost 11.

-you hear keys fall-

You: (make a face)

Y/m: wait shut the door.

Larry: (shuts the door) okay come to daddy.

You: (cover your ears and sneak up to your room)

☀️next Morning ☀️

You: (put Megan's hair in two braids)

Megan: how long is mom going to be asleep.

You: I don't know. She partied hard last night.

Megan: (gets her book bag)

You: (get your book bag and walk out the door)

Megan: do you know where my bus stop is?

You: Yes. It's right across the street from mine.

Megan: oh.

You: don't be scared Megan. You'll see all your friends.

-moments later-

Amber: (walks out her house with Zay)

You: (wave) wait Megan.

Megan: (stops)

Amber: oh look who's catching the bus now.

You: only because mom isn't up. I don't know if she'll like catching it.

Megan: (looking ahead) is that the bus stop?(point towards the kids)

You: Yesss. And that's Mine.(point across the street)

Megan: I'm scared. (Holds your hand)

Zay: uh-oh.

You: (walk her to her bus stop)

Megan: can you call mommy or daddy to take me.

You: Megan. You have to do it some day.

Megan: well not to day.

You: (sigh and take out your phone)

-moments later-

Y/m: (gets out the car)

You: there's mom.

Larry: (gets out)

Megan: and dad.(runs up to them)

You: (walk to your bus stop)
