The boy responded by turning the radio up, Green Day's Brain Stew currently playing. I leaned my elbow against the window and my thoughts drifted back to when Christian tried to offer me money. He still didn't know that his bank account was frozen and that he only had the cash that was in his wallet. I wasn't going to let him spend it on me. Besides, I had enough money.
A couple of months back, I went through a period of absolutely loathing my family, every single member of it. I hated being home and I hated seeing my parents' faces. I began to consider running away. It wasn't like I would do it alone; Garrett would come with me without a doubt. However, I knew the police could track cell phones and bank accounts if used, so I started planning out a way to cover my tracks.
I bought a new phone with a different number and even made another bank account under the fake name, Hayley Williams. Garrett and I took off and were gone for about a week at the most. Well, that was until I realized that my siblings needed me, so we went back. The first thing my parents said to me when I came back was "we knew you would come back eventually." They weren't even the slightest bit worried.
But overall, I'm glad I thought about running away because if not, I wouldn't have a functioning bank account. The bank may have frozen Chicago Beaumont's account, but Hayley Williams' account was still under the radar.
A few minutes later, we pulled into Aiden's driveway to see him sitting on the front step of his porch. I watched as he slung his backpack over his shoulder and fixed the beanie on his head before hurridly walking over to the passenger side of Josh's car and climbed in behind me. He slammed the door shut, a sigh leaving his lungs as he leaned back into the seat.
"What's wrong, bub?" I asked, turning around a little bit to face him. "And do not lie to me because I always know when you are lying." My best friend's eyes shifted over to Josh, but back to me seconds later.
"My family is just so annoying," he remarked. He reached over to unzip his backpack, pulling out a wad of cash. "However, they gave me one hundred dollars to spend."
Josh backed out of Aiden's driveway and started down the road towards the mall, turning the radio down slightly where we could hear each other speak. "How did you manage to get that much money?" I questioned.
"I lied," my best friend replied simply. "I told them that if they gave me some money, I'll buy at least two clothing items that are made for a girl. Of course, I'm not doing that, but at least I have money."
Josh grinned. "You are almost as deceitful as Chicago."

"Yes, Garrett, I'm fine, everything's fine. I just got my hair redyed and now Aiden is shopping around for clothes. Okay, I'll try to find a Supernatural shirt for you, but no promises. I love you, bye."
I rolled my eyes as I clicked end call, handing Josh's phone back to him. "Garrett likes Supernatural, huh?" He asked.
"Yeah, it's his new obsession. He's only been watching it for like a week and he's on season six. It's a bit funny."
I darted through clothing racks, Josh close on my heels, trying to find Aiden. We found him in the t-shirt section. "Spongebob, really?" I gestured to the article of clothing in my best friend's hands.
"Hey, Spongebob is the greatest cartoon ever aside from Scooby-Doo," he responded.
I ran a hand through my now red and blonde hair. "Scooby-Doo is the greatest cartoon ever, I agree. By the way, will you be okay here by yourself while Joshua and I run down to Hot Topic to get Garrett a Supernatural shirt?"
He nodded. "Yeah, sure. I'm almost done here anyway. I just need to try on a few more things. I'll meet you guys at the Hot Topic."
Josh and I both said goodbye and hurried out of the store and towards Hot Topic. I was very fond of bands, Harry Potter, and jeans, so I had a feeling that we were going to be in that store for quite awhile. We were almost in front of the food court when Josh grabbed my arm, pulling me to a stop. "Want to do photo booth pictures, Chicago?" He asked, pointing to the booth a little ways away from us.
I hated getting my picture taken, but Josh seemed quite excited, so I agreed and let him drag me into the booth. "You know Aiden will probably drag us back here to take pictures with him, right? He hates feeling left out."
Josh shrugged. "That's totally fine. I love photo booths. What background do you want?"
My eyes scanned the screen. "We are definitely not picking the Walking Dead, Joshua," I responded as he hovered the arrow over the option.
"Fine," he sighed in defeat. "Let me guess, you want the background with rainbow zebra stripes." I smiled. "Bingo, Joshua Dun."
He reluctantly clicked on the background choice and we got into position, ready for the first picture. The photo booth took four pictures total. For the first picture we did normal smiling faces. For the second one; serious faces. Third, we did funny faces, but the fourth one was the most interesting.
"What should we do?" I asked, turning my body towards him. "We got like five seconds to figure it out, so hurry!"
"I don't know!" Josh exclaimed as the timer reached three seconds.
"Pick something!"
"Okay, fine!"
As the timer hit two seconds, Joshua Dun grabbed my face and pressed his lips against mine into an open mouth kiss. Before I could completely understand what was happening, I heard one sound.
