I was driving my car. I stopped at a red light and put my Nirvana CD in the radio. Put the volume as loud as I could and sang along with the signer. Drumming with my fingers on the steering wheel and roll my window down. The sunset of August was beautiful. Orange and purple with a hint of blue. Twenty minutes later I arrived at my house. Turned down the radio, turn off the car and got out of it. As I was walking towards my door, my legs felt weak. I couldn't move them. I saw a bright light and lost consciousness. That's the only thing I could remember.
I woke up with the sound of monitors and machines beeping. It was dark, I couldn't see anything. Someone touched my arm. "Hello Cathy, glade to see you woke up," said a deep voice. I started to panic. "Where am I?", I said with a trembling voice. "You are at the hospital. You were in the coma for a week now", said the man. "I'm your doctor. Dr. Foreman," he replied. "Wh-what happened to my eyes?", I said crying. "I cannot see!"
A long moment of silence past. "Cathy... You were blind all your life."
