Viola came downstairs wearing a tight, off the shoulder dress and her hair was curled and pulled to the side. She was flawless. She threw my outfit and I rushed to change. I was wearing tight, mint, skinny jeans and a white, crop tank and a black, Leather jacket. I felt. edgy and fierce and I couldn't wait to go out.
Viola was meeting Andy at a club and Bronx said he'd be there too. Of course Viola will be surprised, but ill explain later to her. Right now, I just wanted to have some fun. Viola gushed the whole way there and I could tell she was nervous. It made my heart warm. She's never been nervous before. I fixed my tank and got out of the car once we got there. The place was packed and music was screaming everywhere. I looked around and froze when I saw Bronx. He looked amazing. His hair was bad boy wild, he wore a tight, blue shirt that showed off his muscles and sexy, ripped jeans that clung to his body just right. I buried the thought to fan myself and headed his way. He turned his head and froze in place. His eyes scanned my body and his eyes held a glint in them. Did a volcano form somewhere near by or is it just me that's hot? Good lord I needed to calm down.
"You look....breathtaking." he breathlessly stated. I was stopped short by this. No one has ever called me that before. I blushed and gulped down some air.
"T-thanks. You look great too." I mumbled. My mind went back to the lake and I blushed even redder. Realizing I loved him was hard to accept. I loved Lance and it wasn't fair, but I couldn't seem to let the feelings go. Both had a piece of me and if either of them told me they.liked me, I'd die. They were bestfriends. If both ended up liking me, I could seriously ruin their friendship. I couldn't do that.
"Sage? Ready to go inside?" Viola snapped me out of my thoughts.
"Yeah, let's party." I smiled shyly. Bronx smiled and took my hand before he lead us in. Of course my heart was doing flips in my chest, but I ignored this. Shut up heart. Not now!
"Andy lets dance." she giggled and lead him to the middle of the dance floor. I watched them dance and how violas eyes held so much joy in them. I smiled for her.
"They look happy together. I'm glad about that." Bronx said. I nodded and looked at him.
"Me too. Wanna dance with me?" I asked. He took my hand and pulled me close.
"I'd love to." he whispered in my ear. Of course my happy moments couldn't last because I spotted one of 'his' bestfriends in the crowd. He stared at me and smiled coldly at me. I froze and felt myself shutting down to protect myself.
"Sage?" Bronx asked. I shook my head fiercely and memories screamed at me. Stop it! Please!!! I shouted in my head. The guy mouthed something to me and I bolted. I ran as fast as I could. I ran from the pain, I ran from my past and I ran from my future. I didn't pay attention and ran into the street blindly.
I heard the beeping first and I was aware of the pain too. My eyelids felt so heavy and my chest ached with every intake of breath.
"Sage, baby, wake up." my mom begged and this scared me. Why was mom here? Where was I? And soon the memories smacked me. I had been dancing with Bronx when I had saw his friend in the crowd. I had froze and saw him mouth something to me and I felt the panic again.
"He's missed you." ran in my mind and I had ran away in horror into the street. And then the car had came out of nowhere and it all went black. I opened my eyes quickly and saw my mom. She was hunched in a chair crying and it made my heart ache. I reached over with all my strength and held her hand. Her head shot up and smiled.
"Oh Sage!" she hugged me lightly as if I'd break. Was I that bad?
"How bad?" I choked out.
"A broken arm, a few broken ribs, a lot of bruises. You had internal bleeding and was in a slight coma. You've been asleep for three days." she whispered and I heard the quiver in her voice. I took this in and soon the tears fell. Because of him. Because of him I was in the hospital again. Damn! Damn, damn, damn!!!! Not again.
"I'm sorry. For burdening you mom. I'm so sorry." I sobbed. I was falling apart again. I felt the sinking and pain soak in. I had made so much progress and now it was gone. All of it.
"You are never a burden. You're my daughter. I was blessed with you and I don't regret it. You're my life." she soothed and ran her fingers through my hair.
"He's getting out tomorrow mom." I whispered. "He told his friend to give me a message. He said he missed me." I said.
"I'm right here Sage. He can't hurt you again. I promise." she sobbed.
"He already has." I said defeated.
